Right..........

So where does the love for Debuchy come from, have you seen his future? Or perhaps it was his incredible 13 games for Arsenal?

No it's the fact that our RB sucks and we don't have any back-up.

It's harping on about our title winning team that made us so crap this year and could ruin next year too. Out with the shit, please.

So you are just clamouring for any old player in the hope that it works out? Seems a solid approach.

I would suggest a backup option that doesn't suffer significant injuries every time he walks on a football pitch.

I would also suggest signing players because they aren't Danny Simpson is far more damaging than 'harping on' about our title winning players.

1. more solid than just signing nobody - as we did last year.
2. You haven't suggested any RB purchase.
3. I've heard about us being champions all season and watched us play shit and finish 12th. It's time for you and everybody else to put the title in your history books, before you become Derby/Forest fans - they've been saying the same thing for 40 years.

We won. we've now lost. Move on.

Are you saying that me talking about us winning the title 12 months ago reflects anything that happens on the pitch?

What I will do is use the historical performance of players in judging whether they are good enough to remain or be signed.

Unfortunately for you that historical performance data included a league winning season.

I will also say that of all the players you could pick on from this Championship winning team, you have chosen 1 of 2 players who have remained consistent and given everything all season, which is frankly bizarre given the shit served up by most of them.

It's a nothing argument, so okay.

IMO we need 2 CBs and an RB as first priority.

Smalling, Gibson and Debuchy are fine for me but if we can get better (especially at RB) then all the better.

If you don't think we need to upgrade these positions that's your opinion and as valid as mine.

I am very happy with Simpson as RB. If there is someone out there as good as Simpson for the £2million we paid for him, great.

You don't want an RB great.

I like Mahrez, if there's someone out there as good as Mahrez for the £0.4m we paid for him great.

I like Wes Morgan, if there's some out there as good as Morgan for the ....

We finished 12th, we need to be top 5, we need to upgrade. If you want to sit with what we have next season, good for you, I don't. If our team goes backwards as much as it did this season, then we won't even finish the season in the prem, we'll be fighting for a playoff spot in the championship.

I agree with you on the CB side of things. I just think there are bigger needs in our team than RB, so using some of our budget on that could be unnecessary (unless we suddenly have a gazillion dollars to spend).

What do you think is more important?

I think

CB,RB,CB,LB,ST.

I've read that whatever money is necessary will be made available.

Smalling and Gibson would be great. Debuchy takes me back to the Eriksson days of spending shit loads of money on crap players.

I don't think we need a new right back for next season. I do think we need a very capable backup.

I'd love to see one of;
Keane,
Maguire
Gibson
here next season. Ideally on that order.

I'd like Keane but I think that boat has sailed. He'll go top 6 (like he should've to us last season). I'd prefer Smalling, who is very much a team leader over the others and Gibson over Maguire though I'd be happy with either as we'll still have Huth as a first team player.

I think we need two CBs, a creative midfielder and a striker. That is going to cost a lot of money, so I'd prioritise spending money there, rather than diverting some of it to a RB. All IMO, of course.

Priorities are difficult to judge without knowing formation, which needs changing Imo.

new defenders are a must, I also think we need new CM with some ability to get forward and create something.

An upgrade on Okazaki will be needed if we insist on this formation.

Yep, pretty much how I feel too (although with a bit more detail than my post).

If Chris Smalling is available (which it sounds like he is), he'd make an excellent signing but we'll up against half a dozen other Prem clubs for him at least. Should definitely be in for him though.

Not sure if this has been posted, but also saw an article a couple of days ago that said we're chasing Kelechi Ihneacho from Man City - I'd be very happy with that too, he seems like a player with a great future.

Priorities for me are CB, ST, AM/CM, CB, then maybe a RB too.

Find the conversation around Simpson weird - I think he's been our best defender this year and was massively underrated in our title winning season too.

Striker, we need an upgrade to Shinji really... either a creative AM who can chip in with goals or a striker that can play with Vardy and will chip in with more goals.

I can't see sticking with 4-4-2 for another whole season though and we definitely need options to change it. 4-2-3-1 is a fairly easy adaptation from where we are, but we need someone to fill that role between midfield and attack better than what we've got currently.

Top priority is getting a decent manager in. They can then choose which players they want and a formation and menu to suit.

Hurray, we have a winner !

Hopefully someone who knows full well that duffers of the calibre of crock(ed) of shite Debuchy shouldn't be anywhere feckin' near our squad, and that we should be aiming a gazillion degrees higher than that

Which is just about anyone, I should imagine

So you think we can keep Vardy and Schmeichel, dump the rest, spend £300million on 9 replacements that are so much better, and expect them to gel into a team during pre-season so we can get a top 4 finish?

who said we have to do it all at once, you upgrade a few players now which also then adds depth to the squad
