Surprised by that, he was rubbish when he came on as sub in the last game.

But we judge players not on one game.

He's a very good player. Mahrez replacement.

I just can't force myself to like Gray. I think he's a lazy, self-serving, arrogant player with nowhere near as much ability as he claims. Exactly what some see in Mahrez and I've never seen myself.

I watched the U21s last night and it was just like watching him play for us. No tracking back, not interested in doing the simple things, giving the ball away cheaply, and so on.

And that's in a game in which he scored and got an assist.

I'd swap him for Schlupp in a heartbeat. And you know what, I bet Shakespeare and most of the City squad would too. Mark my words, he's a wrong 'un.

A player who gets a goal and an assist in a game! I remember people defending Vardy last season -before the change - because he scores saying that's his sole reason for being there or you defending Mahrez for his one piece of brilliance a game. Surely a goal and an assist trump 1 piece of brilliance?

I can't understand people saying that Mahrez is arrogant though, he always seems one of the least arrogant players we have, Gray is definitely more arrogant but then he's still very young. If you're not arrogant at 20 with the skill he has then you are exceptionally unusual. Most 20 year old footballers are arrogant.

And Gray passes the ball far more than Schlupp (who was pretty arrogant too at 20).

I was kind of understanding where you were coming from until I read the bit where you said you'd swap him for Schlupp in a heartbeat.

That quickly snapped me into realising your post was a load of bollocks.

I got over my disappointment on the noshow from Kapustka and really enjoyed the U21s' performance on the pitch. Give or take a few mistakes (admittedly Poland looked poor throughout), the defence looked really quite good in front of the excellent Pickford, and Ben Chilwell the best of them all, I thought.

Demarai Gray did the job he was picked to do, and some.

Yup, laughable.

Shame when Spurs fans are more knowledgable than Leicester fans (even if they did nearly double our points total last season)

How does that make them more knowledgable (sic?)?

Because he's a damn good player and some of you can't see it.They can. Did I really need to explain that? Was it really hard to work out what I meant?

I worked out from your reply that you never make typing mistakes that you don't correct on a football forum / you're a bit of a Pop.

In all honesty, I don't think I've commented a lot on Gray. I don't think I've seen him enough to know what he's like, and I'm a STH, so it's not like I don't go. He looks promising to me, but that's about all I feel qualified to say.

I was more querying that a handful of posts on twitter, by a group of fans who've barely seen him play, can make their fans more knowledgeable than our fans. That's discounting the fact that it's not abnormal for fans to have a different view of the same player.

The (sic?) comment was more a question, hence the question mark, as I wasn't sure whether it was knowledgable or knowledgeable.

There were a couple of games in the Premier League winning season when Gray came on with only a short time left to play with Leicester being a goal up, he did a very good job at running the clock down when he got the ball. Last year he wasn't so good but neither were most of the team. Let's see how he does next season.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but Harvey Barnes was joint top scorer at the Toulon Tournament which England won (on penalties no less).

Oh **** off. Getting on my tits now. He expected to start in front of Albrighton or the PFA player of the year.
He seems happy with Shakespeare getting the job though:

"Shakey has always been there for me at Leicester. He always spoke to me one on one. With him getting the job now I am happy with that and hopefully I will get more of an opportunity.''

Considering how shite the PFA player of the year was last season I think Jeff Schlupp would have expected to start in front of him.

I can't blame him - he spent most of the season sitting on the bench watching a show pony faff around and lose the ball all the time.

Not for the first three or four months, no - but having spent all of that time sat on his arse watching complete and utter horseshit being served up week in, week out, he's perfectly entitled to get a bit naffed off
