So latest transfer rumours anyone ?

Yeah wtf are City up to?

Only recent news has been about another academy signing.

What makes it a girl's name then? (serious question) If a boy is given the name doesn't that make it a male name? Or is it just down to which sex uses the name most?

My point was that by calling a name a girl's or boy's is automatically a sexist comment according to the politics of today. However stupid that may be.

No idea....probably for the benefit of cold callers? Not really sure how long we've used male and female names. Suppose we're all just sheep in not thinking to name a boy Tamara because it's in the girl list.

Shame we'll miss out on that conveyor belt of Scandinavian signings we've benefited from over the years.

Or we'll get another scout.

That was my first thought. Although, I'd expect that a scout is as valuable in terms of the players we don't go on to sign, as those we do.

We use (or we did under Walsh) a stats based recruitment approach. Stats identified targets and scouts decided on whether to pursue them or not. For all we know, he could have saved us a fortune. He could also be monitoring young players from those leagues that we've not considered signing as yet, but would if they developed a bit further. Now Everton are in pole position for any of them.

I react to any poaching of our staff in the same way. Disappointed that our excellent recruitment structure is being weakened. I felt the same when our stats geeks like McKenzie went to Spurs and Wrigglesworth went to Arsenal. And of course when we lost Walsh himself. Just because they don't score goals or make tackles, doesn't mean that they're not key personnel.

Neither does it mean they can't be replaced.

Just saying, I've just placed a bet on Iheanacho signing for us - evens with Paddy Power (as of 5 mins ago).

Yeah, of course.

However, the tendency for us to lose personnel to the seven Premier League clubs above us in terms of budgets and 'attractability' isn't good news. If our owners genuinely want us to compete with them, then getting personnel picked off by them isn't the way.

Well that's that move ****ed, given your track record :D

Yep. But it's not a guess, it's something that appears likely. Bid of £27m accepted, with Man City having a buy back of £54m. Also, mentioned how we considered bringing him on loan last summer (which I'd also heard elsewhere) and added to my feeling that this is a goer - Percy thought so too.

And him suddenly starting to follow Fuchs and N'Didi on twitter the other day (he'd been following Musa for a while).

All good points.

Then the solution is to continue not to buy anybody from Scandinavia and pocket the salary. Job done.

Blaarev, tell the club who not to buy. They might send you a badge or a sticker or something.

good value considering he's 8/13 on SkyBet.

This would be a brilliant signing (assuming he's complementary to Vards and not a replacement!). Forwards sorted then, assuming Slim stays.

You already did it, you bastard! Hope you enjoy the sticker.
