Did he specifically say he wanted CL football next season? Or just in general? Maybe, like Kante, he will overlook it for one season knowing that they'll very likely be in it the following season and most seasons after that.

It surely can not be money based he is on a good wage here I think he may be shocked by the lack of interest towards him, I hope the board play it strong but fair 50 million is a start state IMO.

I remember him saying that but it's likely his reasoning is as you say. If so he doesn't think that we'll be back in the top 5 even with his incredibly skilfull help.

You know he's a French man of the same age who came through the French youth team ranks alongside Lacazette and now plays for the national team which Lacazette won't even smell other than in Friendly action, don't you?

He definitely mentioned CL but maybe that was in connection with Leicester, I have no problem with him going to the Arse, but expect them to pay more for him than Alexandre Lacazette .

No decent French player and particularly an attacker would be playing in France over the age of 24 unless they were at PSG.

You know that just because Lacazette isn't as good as Griezmann, doesn't mean that he's not worth £50m, don't you?

Because if they pay that they'll have less money for decent players and by playing him that'll mean sanchez has left and they are not playing better players like Giroud.
