Assuming we can get Mendy fit over the preseason, we'll finally see a true measure of him. I suspect that he's very good, so hope we don't give up quite yet.

Love the line about Mahrez being frustrated with Barça.

I don't think Mahrez will be going to Arsenal now - they've agreed to sign Thomas Lenard from Monaco.

If they keep Sanchez and Ozil, don't see them signing Mahrez.

I think Mahrez is going to end up staying, unless he goes to France. Maybe to Monaco to replace Lemar?

I still think he'll end up at Arsenal, but if he doesn't go there, I can't see him going anywhere.
 
John Cross was pretty adamant that Arsenal have him as a back up option and, if their other options didn't workout, that they certainly wouldn't pay more than £30m for Mahrez.

Maybe Monaco will want him but will they pay £40m? I can't see it. I can't really see where else he'd go.

I'll be furious if we sold him for less than £40m. If nobody pays up, I'd be delighted to keep him.

Agreed and this what I'm convinced will happen.

There's been no real concrete interest in him and very little rumour either.

I think his poor form last season has seen his stock fall beyond our asking price. I see this as good news for us. If he stays, he'll know he has to work hard to get the move he wants.

Alternatively he could blame us for not letting us move (once again) and go on strike for next season. Who knows. My scenario feels more likely given the season just gone.
 
Still think he's gone me. But might not be until a few other pieces drop, Especially as Arsenal are trying hard to dump Walcott, Chamberlain, Perez and a few others.

There will be a domino effect. And if not some manager will be under pressure to make a splash late in the window and just say "**** it, let's shell out for Mahrez".

If he's playing like he did last season he better be dropped
 
If he plays how he did for much of last season there will be zero interest and bids.

Hopefully this has shown him up to be a bit of a dick and that if he had worked hard he would almost certainly have suitors queueing up to sign him.

He has done himself no favours at all.
