As an aside, isn't it great that we support a club that can spend shit loads on players now?

It was only a decade ago that we spent the summer buying freebies and shite to line the corrupt pockets of Mandaric and his agent cronies. A summer of (and I did have to look them up) N'Gotty, Neilson, Sappleton, Cort, Hellings, Kishishev, Hayes, Kaabi, Newton, Clemence, Campbell, Clarke, Fulop, Ferreira.

Sometimes I do have to pinch myself that we are a significant force in the Premier League and we have owners that bankroll us when necessary. We're now taking for granted discussing which players we could sign for £30m+.

It's ****ing great.

That list made me think, if we had to have one of those players in our squad now (obviously at the stage which we signed them, not literally now), which one would it be? I guess Fulop is the obvious answer.

Everyone in the Prem can. The money with the TV deal has gone crazy, it's nothing to do with Mandaric and Top.

Aside from Top getting us into the EPL. We could still be outside looking in, along with Forest and Derby

He's still under contract. He can't just decide where he goes; there should still be the opportunity to recoup some of the outlay.
 
Fulop was a very good player, too good for us at that time and his name shouldn't appear on such a list.
