Clubs don't do enough to help players handle the wealth and stardom thrust upon them. Or to help foreign players get used to being in the UK.

Create an environment where players are encouraged to talk about their concerns, rather than being made to feel as though they're weak for having them?

I was talking to the Leicester City club chaplain some years ago and he made the point that it was good to have somebody employed by the club who players can talk to who has no influence on the player's career..

The Guardian often has good articles on sport. This is useful like the articles in Playboy. If somebody ever sees me with The Guardian I will claim "I only buy it for the sport."

That claim has been made countless times by purchasers of "The Sun."

Unfortunately 'the sport' can be a euphemism for other splendid 'features' much nearer the front of the comic.

"Splendid features" is a great euphemism. My family tease me about my liking for Bettany Hughes programmes on archaeology. I will use the defence that she does have "splendid features".

What does that have to do with this?

He is specifically talking about the high levels of wealth.
