Let me quote in the last post from FIF in the 2016/17 thread:

Sky are going to rearrange their sport's packages and intend to offer 2 football only channels. Seems that they are feeling the bite of reduced subscriptions and maybe they'll question whether the Prem tv deal was in their best interest. I can only see this meaning that the next PL deal will not be as lucrative for clubs. Let's hope Top is planning ahead.

Hopefully the mass streaming of matches will make them think twice about their outrageous subscription fees.

Hes been superb for that kid. seen loads of people want him to get SPOTY award or such like. I personally think that would be totally inappropriate as he seems to actually care and is doing all this because he's a nice bloke and not for the plaudits.

Totally agree.

Selfless, as I'm sure as many footballers are as there are selfless members of the public.

Yup. Not sure how clear I made my point and to avoid confusion, my thinking is if you reward things like this in official ways rather than just thinking/saying he's a ****ing lovely bloke, then you encourage niceness to be all about PR and reward. That said, I'd buy Defoe a pint and give him a proper man hug.

I assume the deal is dependent on Everton taking on the contract of an overweight overpaid hasbeen in exchange.
