And then we can sell him on for £80m. He was POTY after all...

Sarcasm goes over your head too doesn't it?

Still anyone comparing Peter Reid today with Mahrez today really needs to have a chat with BN.

Clearly I need to post like a brain addled depressive moron in order to be liked.

It hasn't worked well for you so far.

Won't happen next season but....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...amore-speaks-Premier-League-games-abroad.html

"A ‘burning desire’ to play a round of Premier League matches abroad still exists – but do not expect it to happen any time soon.

That is the view of chairman Richard Scudamore, who also revealed that the top flight’s clubs are keen to take matches out of the country."

I'm glad the NFL plays in London, why should I begrudge our foreign fans the opportunity to see our boys in the flesh?

Because it will be a disruption to the team.

Look how much we blamed on our pre-season international tournament last year. Look how teams playing in Europe have to change their planning for domestic games. It would be great to see Leicester play in Bordeaux but that would affect not only the English teams concerned but the french ones too. Plus they'd have to be midweek games anyway.

Can you imagine playing against WBA in Hong Kong on a Tuesday night in November? and that's our home fixture.

If all teams have a match overseas, they're equally disrupted.

The idea of a midweek fixture, between two weekend fixtures, being played in the far east is patently absurd, but a sensible solution could be possible, for example the NFL match the London games alongside rest weeks for the teams involved.

They are not equally disrupted, firstly for one of them it is a home game, secondly some matches will take place in Europe, others in the U.S., Asia or even Australia.

The fixture list is already too congested for those teams playing in Europe it's "ludicrous" to think that teams will get a couple of weeks off (possibly 4 fixtures that will need to be put during free midweek slots). the NFL teams have only 16 games a season and many fans aren't happy with having one of those abroad (other than the foreign fans nearby of course).

We can't even give our teams a winter break.

They could do it NHL style - play the first couple of games of the season abroad. That is already happening with friendlies - the only difference is that those pre-season games would be league games

I still think it's a terrible idea and it's our duty as football fans to resist it until the end but I think it can and will be done.

Indeed. Given that we have just played West Brom in Hong Kong, it's not too much of a leap to think that, were that game to have been played a couple of weeks later, it could have been a Premier League game.

Please stop discussing it. It's a fecking disaster of an idea and I refuse to acknowledge that there are intelligent people giving it credence.

I'm not a protesting sort but this would be 'over my dead body'.

Arsenal 1-2 Sevilla

In case you missed it earlier, Arsenal lifted the Emirates Cup on home soil - despite losing 2-1 against Sevilla.

The weird rules in the four-team competition mean Arsenal take the trophy despite the Spanish side winning both their matches.

The Gunners put five past Benfica on Saturday, so they finish top of the group on goals scored.

Indeed.

****ing hell, even the fans don't seem to give a shit about the fans.

Complete bullshit like this would probably be enough to see me walk away from the game as a regular punter.

Piss taking, money grabbing ****s.

£1bn and counting . . interesting that we're third net spenders so far.
