2 big men up front is intriguing. And not necessarily a bad idea!

Won't need the midfield. Hamer, Benny and Huth can lump it up to those two.

In fact better still, drop Mendy back and put Huth up front as well with Ulloa and Slimani.

How about a winger with a good cross if you're going to go with this madness?

So we risk Vardy in a completely feckin' meaningless pile of shite game, after he's already had a knock on his ankle

Wonderful. Just wonderful

This may be an indicator of where the power lies in the changing room.

No way should Vardy be anywhere near the team but if he wants to play, maybe he plays.

If he's going along as a cheerleader, fair enough.

We're supposedly taking the cups more seriously this season. So why shouldn't we play a strong team?
It's not like the players are all knackered after a hard season.

This is a real banana skin. I'm all in favour of playing a strong team, but I don't see why that necessitates putting players at risk

“Once the logistics have been completed in Beijing, the UK will be waking up and the breakfast media will be able to report and get reaction on the 16 ties that will take place next month, which we feel is an interesting move away from the usual post-game evening draws.“

Very interesting move. We should try to pitch it to the Chinese

Shakespeare was asked if he'd be rotating for this game and he said yes. Quite right too. I'm sure that Sheff Utd will be making a few changes at least. I'm sure that pretty much all the teams that got to the final over recent seasons made wholesale changes in the earlier rounds.

We've spent a huge amount of money turning our 'team' into a 'squad' over the last year or so. With no European football this year, why wouldn't we use that squad when the opportunity arises? We really ought to be able to make eleven changes and progress.

We've also got several injuries and a trip to Old Trafford on Saturday. I'd not even contemplate starting anyone that is likely to play that day. Man Utd will spend this week preparing for that match and so should we.

We should try and give them a right good seeing to, especially as we might get one ourselves on Saturday.
