If you took Schmeichel, Vardy, Mahrez and Drinkwater out of our squad we would basically be a mid level championship side.

Shows how badly we got it wrong in our transfer business last season. Shocking to think of what we paid for the current team we are looking at.

The same u21s that Gray scores regularly for and is often praised for his impact on games?

Yup. Can't think of one we've been linked to. Slim and Moose alternating perhaps? Or Hamer?

2 of those have been absent for a year (ignoring the weekend gone for one of course)

That's the one. Are you seriously attempting to suggest that praise from the U21s means anything? It's like being man of the match in a testimonial.

Slimani and Musa are our best two players solely because they're running about a bit.

Perhaps I am being a bit unfair. I think my badly made point is that we can't really look to anyone we signed last summer for strength or improvement.
