Chalk and cheese first and second half.

Shinji made a huge, huge difference but we looked brighter throughout the second half.

Not sure how we won really but we got better throughout.

Morgan and Chilwell did pretty well, Shinji MOTM
 
We were much better in the second half and better still after Okazaki came on. I actually quite enjoyed watching us after this.

Excellent from Morgan again. He looks back to his best recently. Gray and Shinji were very good and although Slimani wasn't great throughout a special mention for his exceptional finish.

Albrighton was toss, Amartey is simply not a footballer and Ulloa.... words cannot express the complete ineptitude of that performance.

I'm not going to judge Dragovic as he grew into the game and I shouldn't judge Iborra yet.... but he was shit, wasn't he?
 
The injury to Ulloa was inspired. Well done whoever thought that one up.
 
Shite game. How we won I'll never know but I'm delighted we did. Time for another beer. Okazaki first name on the team sheet. Has to be.
 
When is the draw for the next round?
 
Iborra looks like he plays in La Liga. The game was far to fast for him and he looked totally lost.
Okazaki changed the game. He was tremendous.
I like the look of Dragovic.
I still maintain, Shakespeare is out of his depth.
 
The interesting decision now is whether Gray has done enough to start on Saturday. I would be tempted to give him a go and build on his first really decent performance.

The draw for Round Four of the competition will be live on Sky Sports News following the conclusion of Manchester United and Burton Albion's clash on Wednesday night.
 
Iborra needs game time and match fitness, that's the only way he'll improve and fit in.

It is difficult because you are absolutely right, he needs game time but if that had been Saturday and they'd have had a stronger team out he would have been totally and utterly overrun. As we are already weak in this area, making us weaker would be catastrophic against a strong Liverpool side on Saturday.
 
What a weird, hilarious, bizarre game of football that was.

Ulloa, and I love the bloke, is so far gone at this stage it's comical to watch him play.

Iborra, King and James should never, ever, play in a "2".

Big Wes excellent, Dragovic too. Thought Albrighton did alright to be honest, but I'd probably start Gray at the weekend.

Okazaki is probably my favorite player these days.

Liverpool must be sick of coming to the KP. One more time lads.
 
I slated Iborra first half and much of the 2nd but he did show at times in the 2nd that he has played football before.

Dragovic is an upgrade on Benny, looked OK but I don't see him challenging for a 1st string CB position... yet.

Choudhury was lost but hopefully he'll get more chances. Impossible to gauge on that showing.
