I was just thinking about this in relation to Saturday and the fact that we'll have to play Wilf and King shows just how weak we are in the middle.
Agree Gray deserves a start over Albrighton.

Hopefully it's too early to judge Iborra. If it wasn't I wouldn't even let him on the pitch never mind in a 2. Looked like he's never played at any level never mind professional. He's like that mate who has bantz from work that you drag to your 5 a side because someone who can actually control a ball can't play as their wife has made plans for the same evening and she never goes out. You then feel sorry for him and hatred for yourself because you've inflicted that shitness on your team. just like that

Little point in getting players in from la Liga and Serie A, (and Primeira Liga for that matter) if they can't instantly get used to the roughing up at speed they get in the Prem.

Always nice to beat the Scouse. But **** me we should have been 3 down & game over by half time. Bullet dodged. Ulloa & Slimani up top...Christ on a bike! Iborra I'm fine with. Not match fit, not used to the pace, I've seen some shite debuts & early games by city players that have gone on to be consistent performers. Gerry Taggart springs to mind. His 1st few games for us were painful on the eyes. We need to sign a right back as amatter of priority (but then again we've needed to do that for 2 years at least & nobody at the club seems to have noticed) Robertson must have gone in at half-time thinking he had the worst case of BO known to man. Amartey is no right back & not even good enough to use as an emergency cover option. He isn't a defensive mid either. He's a CB but obviously isn't going to get a game there unless we get 4 injuries so what's the point really?

If we play 3-5-2, is it madness to suggest we would play with Albrighton and Chilwell? Both seem to be effective wing backs and Albrighton is a better player on the right IMO

My thoughts are:
Players that need more game time: Gray, Lborra, Slimani
Players that only play when we are desperate: Ulloa
Gray should definitely be in with a shout at the weekend, Albrighton has looked lost of late. Lborra would start for me also in the middle....He wasn't great sometimes, but definitely showed some class, especially setting up Shinji and we are weak in the middle anyway, Slimani is a decent player it just goes to show if you don't play you lose some of your touch.

we have to take all we can get when we have King as an alternative....I like King, but he doesn't offer a lot for the type of game we now play.....If I was going all out risk. I'd have Ndidi and Shinji in the middle with Nacho and Vardy up top.
