strictly in an academy based role he did a superb job at Spurs, I wouldn't let him in the stadium to watch a first team game but working to run our academy he would be a good choice

stop thinking about him as first team manager and take a look at the spurs academy and the infrastructure he put in place there, we might have the same rating but they aren't close

Why not put him in the squad?
If the space is available in the squad we may as well use it, even if he is unlikely to play.
