I can only presume those who would pick Iborra didn't bother watching on Tuesday night. I find it staggering that more would put him in than wouldn't.

it looked like rust, how will he shake that off if we don't play him? Also everyone on here in the main bitches about King and James playing other than Iborra who else is there?

Dropping Morgan is just as ****ing loony as starting Iborra. How anyone can justify either of these is a matter for science-fiction writers.

The only change from the Huddersfield game I would make is Gray in for Albrighton. As much as I actually agree with the sentiments about Gray being behind Albrighton (and behind Katie Price when it comes to brain power), if he can build on what was his best 45 minutes for us so far in the cup, we may stand a chance of him developing into a decent player.

Preferably in a game which isn't Liverpool at home, when we need a win to try to get some points on the board before we get sucked in.

Anybody. Literally anybody.

If Vardy has a groin injury there is no way that he will be ready to play. If he is picked then expect a lengthy injury spell to follow.

Gray needs to be encouraged if he is to develop his game. It would be right to drop Mahrez to the bench. But Albrighton is out of form and it's just possible that Mahrez will win the game for us.

Iborra is clearly a good footballer but a classic case of the Portuguese/Spanish/French/East European player who would need to be set on motorised skates to be effective in the mad pace of the EPL. You might have thought that the club would have learned from previous lessons. We can't possibly play Iborra in a 4-4-2 - and I'm not sure that Vardy is ready yet to allow our 'manager' to change the system. Tho' if Vardy doesn't play on Saturday there might be a chance that Iborra is slotted into a 4-3-3 or a variant of this.

I suggest we actually come up with a formation that doesn't require a midfield.

Kasper

Simpson Morgan Mags Fuchs Chillers

.

Mahrez Slimani Nacho Okazaki Gray

Now if you bring Maguire just in front of the other four, he can play as the Kante twins and be the deliverer of the exquisite long accurate passes, (hoof ball), to our front five!

Kasper

Simpson Morgan Fuchs Chillers

Maguire

Okazaki

Mahrez Slimani Nacho Gray

Everyone knows he will play 4-4-2 usual back 4 if fit, usual mid, except the CM which will be one of a few, vardy up front (if fit) with any other forward we have.

I could manage Leicester ;)

for those who dont rate Iborra, did u notice Henderson on Tuesday? no? exactly, thats what an experienced defensive midfielder does (oh and tees up oki for his goal), id definately play Iborra admittedly more suited to a 3 man centre midfield but doubt Shakey will change formation. Id also play Dragovic Vardy and Iheanacho. They will be better and no doubt up for it but if we perform and play well defensively i think we can win 2-1 Vardy Iheanacho

First things first, I don't expect, for one minute, us to shift from our traditional 4-4-2 formation.

However, I am now of the opinion that our squad would suit a 3-5-2 more than I have been before. I think our midfield needs it, I think our defence needs it and I think we have the wide players to do it. I also think that a Vardy + Iheanacho/Okazaki front two, with Mahrez in behind, would give us plenty of threat to the opposition, but with a sounder base behind it.

I will admit that I am not a Premier League manager, but, for what it's worth, I would do that, so there.

I agree, I think our side is well suited to 3-5-2/3-4-2-1 that a lot of teams are playing now. I'm hoping at some point we'll switch to it.

For example:
Schmeichel
Maguire, Morgan, Dragovic (or Simpson/Fuchs)
Albrighton, Ndidi, Iborra, Chilwell
Mahrez
Nacho Man, Vardy

Or

Schmeichel
Maguire, Morgan, Dragovic (or Simpson/Fuchs)
Albrighton, Ndidi, Iborra, Chilwell
Mahrez, Gray
Vardy
I think it's the best system we've got to make good use of our attacking players (which is the strongest area of our team) while also making the defence/midfield more solid.

A lot of people are saying we can't play with 2 centre mids and need to switch to 3 in midfield etc, but a lot of teams in the Prem actually are back to playing with 2 CMs now using a variation of the system above.

So you leave out Okazaki?

So you leave out Okazaki?

It was just an example - could easily have Okazaki instead of Iheanacho or as one of the two behind instead of Gray.

But I imagine the plan is to have Iheanacho and Vardy playing together - you could play Shinji in the role behind them in that system, but would mean leaving out Mahrez.

I'd like to see us revert to the formation we used for the great escape. We just cannot play 4-4-2 without getting over-ran in midfield. It only worked two seasons ago because we had Kante.

I love Okazaki but he's the perfect example of a player who does something great every 10 games to make you think we can't play without him.

He needs to be so much more effective in an attacking sense to make him undroppable
