I wouldn't pick Mahrez either.
He let his country down massively in the last round of games.
He's not a popular man in Algeria at the moment.
As for Slim, you can't really pick a player who never plays.

His passing and control is absolute shit but some of his shooting is pretty decent. That one against someone in the Caribou Vase was very decent.

I'm afraid Mahrez seems set on destroying his own career. Classic case of 'pride and the fall'.
I hoped that he would go in the transfer window because he was clearly done with us. For him to go at Christmas it looks to me that a 'top club' is going to have to take a chance that he will re-find the form of 16 months ago and pick him up at a knock down price or he and his agent might need to look at the Stokes, West Hams and Crystal Palaces.....but suspect that this would mean a wages cut.

Doubt if Mahrez ever believed that he was worth £50m .Is he just woefully short of confidence or is his lack of effectiveness part of the reading by opponents of Leicester City generally.........not that based on current form we need a lot of reading? My own guess is that Chelsea took out Leicester when they signed Kante by taking our best player by far and making our 4-4-2 system unworkable.
