I'd rather have a game on Christmas Eve (if it's not a work day) than Boxing Day. At least there's public transport on xmas eve. In most places there are no buses or trains on boxing day.

I agree with you. I was really commenting on the viability of an evening kick-off. An afternoon kick-off would seem unlikely with the Tigers kicking off at 3 though.

Both teams aren't supposed to play on the same day, no matter what times they kick off. I'm sure there was an exception made a few years ago when one team had an early (1PM?) kick off, and the other had a late kick off.

The mockery say it won't happen, so it probably will.

7th May 2011. Both teams played at home on the same day.
The proper football team kicked off at 12:45PM, the egg chasers ay 3PM. It was the final day of the season so the matches had to be played on that day.

The early kick off is the one one I can see working but Sky not want that as people are usually out and about and as Homer says when are we males gonna do our Christmas shopping

Last Christmas Eve I witnessed a man throw up in a polystyrene bowl then accidentally pour it over his own face. That's what Xmas eve is about, not ****in sport.

May 2011 was before Tigers built their latest stand and increased their capacity. Am sure police, council etc have said that city and tigers wouldn't be allowed to play on the same day (even at different times) due to traffic gridlock/access to Royal Infirmary.
And as already pointed out it appears that Tigers will be live on BT on 24th so there is no way that either Tigers or BT Sport will move that match.

It was 2009 when they brought in the thing about both teams not playing on the same day.
