What I find worrying and frustrating about his reluctance to use different players in the league is that I don't think it's Pearsonesque stubbornness, I think it's that he genuinely doesn't know what to do with players like Slimani, Amartey and Iheanacho. He hasn't seen someone else use them to the best of their abilities so he doesn't know how to get performances out of them or play in a way that benefits anyone other that his buddies.... not that that's even working at the minute.

Which is probably why we appear so stale and its difficult to tell whether the performances are worse than the results or vice versa.

That could be his inexperience shining through, I don't know, but I am inclined to agree. Iheanacho looks a quality signing to me, and seems to know what to do on the pitch for us. In that respect, he seems a fit whereas Slimani and Amartey look out of place making one wonder why they were bought. Slimani is being let down by us not playing to his strengths and Amartey by being played out of position. I can only see it as a reluctance to try something different.

Very disappointing indeed. I doubt if anyone at the time would have been ready to compare us with Crystal Palace(as Popillius cheeringly these days suggests) but a succession of awful management/ recruitment failures have reduced us to that sort of level now.

In my opinion there was no 'initial honeymoon spell' at least none directly of Shakespeare's doing. Player power got rid of Ranieri and the players achieved the initial results necessary. The owners then took a very soft option and appointed a good bloke, decent coach and but a duffer as a manager. Not much mere fans can do about it ....it will have to play itself help, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Erm.... what? I can't even decode the language let alone what is meant by it.

Don't win against WBA and we'll see what the owners think about being in the relegation places with only 5 points to show from 3 months.

Relegation zone already.

With our pathetic midfield options and one dimensional manager I'm not seeing a quick way out.

It's most annoying that both Silva (Watford) and Mancini (Zenit) are doing really well with their new clubs when both were widely advocated (and available) in the summer. It increasingly feels like we bottled it.

I was reading something on Foxestalk earlier. About how the 'senior players committee' runs the show and both Ranieri and Shakespeare have failed to arrest their dominance. It rang very true from someone that appears to know people at the club. I think this 'committee' comprises of Schmeichel, Morgan, King and Vardy.

It's incredible now to think that is was less than 18 months ago that we won the league. How the mighty have fallen.

Whether or not the people who claim to know actually know is irrelevant to me now. It's so ****ing obvious who makes the decisions and it's an absolute ****ing shambles. 4 months or so we couldn't get a manager in and had to settle for Shakeytits. What would interest me is why we couldn't get anyone else. Is it because Vardy, Fuchs and pals didn't agree with the choice of candidates or was it that decent options didn't want shitting on because of differences in opinion of choice of a meal. What I do know is I care much less this season if we go down or not than I ever have previously, hopefully the decks will clear and we can sort our shit out either way.

I strongly suspect any new manager was going to have to keep Shakey and none would stand for that

The really depressing thing is that we seem to be in a long, slow decline to the loss of Shakespeare. It feels as if nothing will change until Christmas - and that Shakey will not turn things around.

Let's hope it's a wasted season, and not relegation...

I want out next manager to be a **** who tells the players who the ****ing boss is.
But he might have a go at a couple of reporters, and tell a fan to **** off. We can’t possibly have that.

Maybe it ought be asked as part of future interviews. What is your favourite animal? Just so the club could be prepared for any eventual press conference fall out.

I like bears. A slight preference for brown bears but polar bears too. I guess I wouldn't get the job. :(

I don't know why but I have a little feeling that we are going to turn in a performance tomorrow night. I have no idea why because we've been shite but I just think Mahrez, Vardy and co are going to turn it on.
Btw yes it is Micky here.

The way they can turn it on when they fancy makes it worse.

They are all playing at below what they are capable of (again)

Half of them need ****ing off

correct yet if you suggest dropping one of them people lose their mind, people have a panic attack at the mere suggestion of not playing Wes Morgan for example
