Very poor in all..

Bright spot for me was Iborra.

Agree, I thought Iborra was OK although I would have liked his position in front of the back 4 to allow Wilfred to push forward a bit.

How come Maguire seems to have space to run through the middle when everyone else finds it so hard to make forward runs?

As others have said Fuchs was the Fuchs from August - Feb of last season.

I really like Chilwell as a wing back.

But where I do feel sorry for Shakey is the basic inability of most of the team to make a pass when they are out in the pitch. Remember the days when Albrighton, Fuchs and Simpson could find the perfect pass to create chances?

Generally awful stuff tonight. Did feel very much like an end of Ranieri era performance.

The midfield, once again, was so insipid and lacked any creativity at all. It's just killing us. If he doesn't at least try something different in there formation-wise against Swansea and we fail to get a result, I would suggest he will be out of a job come Monday morning. I do feel for the guy with the whole Silva debacle and the shite at his disposal but we have to try something different.

Oh and surely it's only fair that little Christian Fuchs gets an award for his performance tonight?

It was a thing of bewildering levels of inadequacy.

The NY Foxes still think he's quality, maybe it's THAT framed shirt in Legends.. bless.

See how excited Chilwell was holding 3 fingers aloft before coming on .. as if so say "we're bloody well doing it." He needs to start after that display.. but that requires approval from the fried chicken senior's committee.

We need to improve the transition from defence to attack. On numerous occasions we were too slow allowing wba to get players back quickly.

Compare to our title winning season especially man city away the difference is clear to see.

It's a mix between a confidence issue and lacking a spark in midfield. Couple of wins and I think we could finish around 14th lower than expected start of the season but at this moment I would take that.

I don't agree that it's a confidence issue. Only Ndidi is showing signs of lacking confidence. I also don't think that the formation is what is making us terrible. It isn't helping but it isn't the solution either.

The main problem is that there is a total void of tactics, a total void of leadership and a total void of aggression.

For example, why has nobody had the guts to tell Schmeichel that his approach to defending free kicks is fecking useless? Why has nobody had the guts to tell Vardy that he has to do more than a couple of early runs and then coast for 85 mins?

Are these players beyond challenge? Because it certainly appears to be the case at the moment. We have a much better team than our performances or results show. It's not exactly rocket science to sort out either. We just need a manager with a pair of balls and I don't mean this joker:

Agreed. And it may not be rocket science but it beats me.

I watched an WBA side that defended solidly and in number. From their breakdowns in attack, they allowed us possession in the midfield to enable themselves to get into position defensively.

Maybe we might have moved the ball more quickly to catch them out. Maybe we might have shown more creativity to get in behind them. I don't know the answer.

What I saw from us was that we were trying to play football. There was none of the hoofing we have seen, we tried to play out of defence even. I thought I saw a step-up in confidence with the ball. Why we have gone backwards defeats me but I saw positive signs last night. I'm not panicking yet. I have to admit though that I am rather hoping that Silva will ride to the rescue come Jan (hi-yo Silva??)

Spot on, for some reason Maguire was able to move forward easily, yet Mahrez, Ndidi Iborra and Nacho coud hardly move forward. The space was there I just don't think they had the confidence to find it.

For me the next game he needs to work in the players who are happy to move the ball forward and not backwards, Chillwell, Gray, Albrighton, Slimani, Vardy, Shinji Maguire, Fuchs,

I would hope that when Huth is fit again Maguire can play in front of Morgan and Huth in the Kante role. Shinji should always start ahead of Nacho looked ineffective last night.
Strengthen the midfield with 3-4-3

I said, "Surely there's no way Schmeichel can get beaten from there."

You know you don't say that out loud because you might jinx it and it will happen if you do. That's why I did say it. Because I knew it couldn't happen.

Seconds later the ball was in the net and Schmeichel was on his arse. The only way he moved to deal with something from 35 yards away was to topple over.

I couldn't believe the Sky pundits going on about the quality of the strike from Chadli. I reckon if every one of us that post on here had the same shot, half of us would score it. It was almost as bad as that one against Burnley.

Someone could put a pretty long highlights reel of him getting humiliated from free kicks. He needs to lose some of his arrogance about his methods and learn from the positioning of other keepers how to defend them.

A free kick within 35 yards against Schmeichel is about as dangerous as a penalty.

I wasn't any more pleased than you about his positioning and lack of effort in defending the free-kick - but you do know that he neither toppled nor finished on his arse, don't you?

Nothing wrong with a bit of imagination! He did all the things I said but didn't actually connect with the ground.
Still looked like a clown.

Still looked like a clown.

He was unsighted and didn’t see it until it was over the wall.

He was already moving the wrong way.

He wanted Shakespeare sacked and decided to let it go in.

Someone farted and it altered the trajectory.

He’s ****ing hopeless.

Take your pick(s).

A little perspective. Things aren't going well, but we really aren't as bad as a lot of people on here are making out. We have scored more goals than any other team in the bottom half of the table (and two more than Burnley, who are 7th!), and only Southampton have a (marginally) better goal difference than us. I don't see the alleged lack of effort from the players, and it must be extremely frustrating that they have been unable to convert that reasonable record into points. I think the WBA result exemplifies this.

We had a great goal difference when we were relegated to League One.

Goals are a more accurate indicator of relegation survival than almost anything else statistically.

I still think Brighton, Huddersfield and Bournemouth will struggle to score the goals needed.

Please watch a video of the 1st half and honestly tell me we aren't that bad.

It was clueless
