Auntie Carol being injured is pretty much a given. The surprise is that him being injured would be the thing to scupper a move to Chelsea.

If Chelsea really are going down that route Crouch is a much better bet than Carroll anyway, being that he is a pretty decent footballer not just a fragile battering ram. Bet they wish they hadn't pissed off Costa now.

I’m sure he’s great mates with everyone and a top, top smashing lad but it’s time to give that squad role to a youngster like Chowdhury or Hughes.

He looks so bereft of match practice when he plays it’s embarrassing.
