Absolutely shocking performance pretty much from back to front and top to bottom. Where do we start......

Schmichael - worst performance in a City shirt, his distribution was woeful and embarrassing

Chilwell - maybe a youngster with potential but nowhere near ready to start on regular basis, lacks concentration to be effective at highest level.

Maguire - Made to look 2nd rate which may be a blessing in long term as it will probably quite down speculation of big money move in summer

James - Feel so sorry for him given the horrific injuries he has suffered however he is not capable of playing premiership football, needs to be moved on in the summer and drop to the championship, bring back Mendy to replace him in squad. Iborra has to play instead of him.

Mahrez - I do wonder how much his behaviour and subsequent return and re-integration into the squad has affected the players and overall morale, particularly in the 2nd half it looked like we downed tools.

Puel - I have really warmed to him, however I am concerned as to how the Mahrez situation will affect the remainder of the season, he got it massively wrong yesterday and seemed desperate to shoe horn Mahrez back into squad and my fear is his determination to appease one individual could destabilise rest of the squad , unless he is being guided by the owners. He needs to be strong and show good leadership and hopefully we can have a good end to the season to provide momentum for next season, if he doesn't we could see a real slump and his job at risk.

My conclusion is that there is a huge gulf in this league between the top one and the other nineteen. True, we were awful yesterday, and we will doubtless lose more matches, but I don't think there is another team capable of so comprehensively humiliating us.

Seventh is very much there for us and seventh usually brings European football. It would also be our second highest finish since 1976.

Surely it would be our highest finish since 1976 and our equal highest position since 1963.

Basically, now that the dust has settled. I cannot understand why Puel changed a midfielder at half time for a defender. Given that we were on a par with them at half time and playing a team that dominate the space in midfield an compress you into your own half. By doing that he surrendered that space by doing this. We lost the game by doing that change. If Silva was out of it, then why not replace him with Ibbora? Baffling tactic.....Oh well, moving on

Send him the DVD of that season and he’ll be over the moon

All of the above is true.

Is there a "Mr Can't Believe How Stupid" book?

I have recorded a lot of the matches and pundits reactions from that season. The plan is to end up with dementia at the old peoples home and re-live the season as if it was live games over and over again. I have instructed my daughters about this.

That won't work. You'll be able to remember the stuff from decades ago, but you'll have forgotten about the match you watched a few days ago.

We’ll see. I will probably remember Steve Earle scoring against Spurs on his debut though.
