Whilst I agree, I would also argue that it was because he barely had to do any defending.

So he should have sat back more just so he had some defending to do??

Young player has a fantatsic game and some people still not happy!?!

What more does he have to do?

If he was the complete player many expect him to be he would have been miles away from here a long time ago!

Not entirely sure what you are trying to post there either tbh.

Sometimes attack is the best form of defense.

Not his fault he put them on the back foot all the time.

Perhaps he doesn't get stuck in and show enough pashun for you??

As regards young Ben. Does anyone else think he comes across as in awe of others.?
Sometimes he has the opportunity to run at players , but seeing a senior player, gives them the ball instead.
think its a confidence thing, he's still growing into himself as a player is in and out of the side
It's a learning process and this is only his second/third year in senior professional football.

He's never going to be the complete player straight away but he does show some remarkable attributes that could make him a very good player in the future.

The way he can just glide past the opposition is ridiculous but defo needs to work on the defensive side.

Defo needs a good few more years to evaluate him properly but the signs are extremely positive so far!
this is what annoys me about the idiots that have decided he's not good enough already, it's his second season in our first team squad full time, he's played 35 senior games and people seem to be expecting him to be as good as Ashley Cole was or something.

He is better defensively then people want to admit but doing that would mean 1 less reason to cling to Fuchs.

I also thought Simpson was a liability, Amartey did nothing to get dropped and should be back in the side next week

Draw tomorrow, live on BT Sport after the Huddersfield/Manchester United game.

We're Ball 4.

Like the Caraboa Cup was live on Twitter, then an hour later the big four teams are announced in four separate matches due to a technical problem!

I think most people are happy that Chilwell is Fuchs eventual replacement but there are still areas where Fuchs is the better player. I imagine there will be games where Puel believes one is the better choice over the other. I do not think you just make one the automatic choice over the other.

I think the point is that the Sheffield United winger offered zero threat. Chilwell struggles when we as a team have to defend and absorb pressure. Last night we didn't have to do that.

Don’t be so ridiculous.

He had a fantastic game, I agree. I’m happy he had a fantastic game.

But his fantastic game stemmed from his fantastic attacking play did it not? He wasn’t fantastic defensively because he barely had any defending to do.

Hallelujah

Can we call you an idiot for your comments about Wes Morgan?

He has the potential to make VVD’s transfer look a bargain.

Going forward he is great but as many have said his defensive game needs experience to evolve.

Once he becomes the complete player he will be close to a £100m player, attacking left backs are as rare as rocking horse shit.

Neither are good enough for this level at this moment in time. We desperately need at least one decent left back bringing in in the summer.

I do think that if Chilwell ever becomes a successful Premier League player, it will be at left midfield.

Also, I think we need a little more perspective. That was Sheffield United reserves we just beat 1-0.

Was anyone else crapping themselves every time they got a corner, or free kick? (No? Just me then)

They probably had some big blokes (without bringing the keeper up) but even so, we looked ropy against them. I wasn't at all confident in our defending set pieces last night.

I’m with you there, they looked very threatening at corners, and they were always putting two players in front of Schmeichel to block him.

Us, on the otherhand, didn’t look threatening from our setplays at all.
