don't mistake thrilling moments with thrilling overall style, the counter attack was a thing of beauty but it was the winning that made people happy with it, imagine if those comebacks vs Villa etc. where we kept going 1 or 2 behind had been loses instead of wins do you really think people would have been happy with the style?

What on earth are you talking about ?

Some of the football in that season was breathtakingly exciting. Wonderful, glorious, amazing at times. It was often not the most technically beautiful compared to other great teams, particularly so in the New Year onwards, but my goodness it was exciting

Wow

The first point could be argued for any manager who isn't wanting to be sacked. Would be a bit odd if Pardew, DeBoer etc asked their players to play shit. Just because some managers turn things around doesn't mean this one will and the evidence so far suggests the opposite as we're looking worse.

Second bit is absolute bollocks.
take an objective view of how we played, it wasn't really that attractive, and certainly in my lifetime we have never been known as a good footballing side

No and no.

Really?

Do you think he was deliberately losing games until he got booed?
It's easy to say in hindsight that it worked, but booing rarely leads to better results.

Why didn't Taylor's results improve when he was booed?

Did you have some special knowledge that booing O'Neill would lead to improved results, or are you talking bollocks?

you found it exciting in the same way I did, we were winning, somehow "little Leicester" were taking on the big boys and winning and looking like genuine title contenders, we could have played that exact same way, not had those comebacks early in the season and people would have been screaming for Ranieri to be sacked.

Just like if we'd managed to nick a few more wins recently people wouldn't be screaming Puel out, we play exactly how we are playing now but one of the chances we created in the drawn games goes in instead of wide and people's attitudes to Claude are completely different

It was exciting, but I think I get Skitzo's point. For 60-70% of games we didn't have the ball.

We're 8th. Most would have been happy with that at the start of the season. I doubt most are happy watching us now. It's absolute bollocks to watch, a goal or two off someone's arse or whatever in a game will do little to change that.

exactly, winning cures all ills, you can be the worst footballing team on the planet but get a few last minute winners and everything seems so much better but the general football is still what it is

a few of those goals off of someones arse go in maybe we're 7th, people would be saying we're a team in transition but he's still getting wins wait til next season, instead its he's shit get rid, but we're still a team in transition

Wasn't always attractive but it was exciting. Two different things. This sideways goalkeeper to centre back triangle thing may be sexy but it's not exciting.

Oh come on.

MON talked and wrote about it often. It was about much more than some booing. He met with fans after the match, he had letters which he admitted motivated him to prove people wrong etc, etc.

He wasn't accepted by some due to his Florist connections and the whole scenario was complex. Brilliant man that he was, he used it to drive him to success.

If we'd tutted and left quietly that afternoon we wouldn't have got promoted.

During Sven's time I was saying Boo-urns.

I don't think anyone except Wes and Simpson think those triangles are a good thing

You didn't know at the time you booed that things would improve. People boo managers because they want them sacked. To say afterwards that it's not the case is nonsense.

Maybe Puel will think you're booing him because you don't want him to be sacked.

Yet they keep selecting themselves for games eh? Silly ****ers
lets face it if he dropped Wes there would be a huge media fuss kicked up, lead by that fuctard who calls himself a fan on Radio Leicester, as soon as he got back in he was there to stay until the summer.

Simpson, we don't have another option really, Amartey is back training but apparently the Southampton game is too soon and there isn't an actual right back in the U23s and one of the options there in Darnell Johnson is apparently stalling on signing a new contract because he doesn't want to play at right back.

so its Simpson who is shite going forward but can defend or Albrighton, and look how people complain about Chilwell's defending, yet in comparison to Albrighton he's Paolo Maldini in his prime

That's complete nonsense.

Why are many people assuming Mahrez is going in the Summer?

He has another 3 years on his contract.

We do not need to sell him unless someone offers silly money - north of £80million.

His value will not decline as it is based on his incredible technical skills, not his size or speed. He is probably good for another 6 years.

He is an amazing partner for Vardy, the only one we have that currently appears to understand what Vardy needs in terms of service.

If we keep him, it is not in Mahrez's interests to go on strike as he would miss out on international football.

Maybe with Puel being French, he can persuade him to stay one more year.
