I went to the game. Haven't had so much fun since I travelled to see us play Porto. Learned my lesson. Last two home games I shall be in France and my son can have my season ticket. That'll teach him !

I didn’t bother with the Southampton game because I felt sure it would end up they way it did. I’ve not decided what I’ll do next Saturday yet. I’ll go to the Arsenal game because I’ve never seen us beat them. Not that I think there’s much chance of it at the moment but I’ll kick myself if we do and I miss it.
I’ve never even contemplated missing games for reasons of entertainment before. I’ve only ever missed home games through illness or being abroad. But I really can’t tolerate this shit. It’s a total waste of one of my two precious days not working. I spend most of the week bored enough as it is.

Always happy to watch the egg chasers, when the footy's gone down the shitter. Kept me going through the Pleat years, and the Mad Fool era. Sadly they're in as big a spiral of decline as City, but without the side order of self-harm. Losing to Newcastle Falcons wasn't any better than to Palace.

I had a panic phone call from somebody who had left their sidelights on and the car battery had gone flat. Half an hour later, we had the jump leads out. They didn't work, so had to do a 7-point turn in a small car park and then try a bump start. That didn't work. The AA came out and fixed it. Complete waste of my time. At least I didn't have to watch the shite that was served up in South London. A Palace friend of mine tried goading me, and I suggested it was a returned favour for two years ago.
