Forgot all about it to be honest. The read the squad & remembered why i'd forgotten. According to Southgate we'll be a world force in 4 years time thanks to all our fabulous young talent.
Gareth my old mate, I've been hearing that cobblers since 1974. **** all to report so far. & in those days it was being said by actual proper football managers.
Still, there are questions to answer at this tournament:
1) Is John Stones catastrophic defensive error going to cost England a) a match b) 2 points b) their place in the tournament?
2) Will Alli's yellow card for simulation be in the same game as his red for foul play/violent conduct?
3) Is it actually possible for England to be so bad it costs Gareth his job since no sentient life form in the known universe would touch the job with someone else's bargepole?
4) How many people will realise after it's all over that Brazil 2014 was in fact the last World Cup as we've all known & loved it?

The Germans will win the dullest World Cup since 1962. The Russians will do **** all but their fans will kill someone (probably either English or Polish) England will find a way to embarrass themselves that even I haven't thought of & Belgium will fail to live up to their tiresome reputation of being better than we think. Again.

The non doom laden quote applies only to LCFC & all matters pertaining. For everything else I'll react accordingly. The World Cup is shite & after Qatar next time, followed closely by expansion to 48 ****ing teams it'll be completely dead. Very apt that it'll probably die in the USA, a country that generally couldn't give a toss about it anyway.

Look out Croatia imploding as they are primed for a public meltdown. Not at all. I wouldn't go, some games in the 70's and 80's were bad but those nutters are on a whole different level.
