I doubt he’ll get a game in the World Cup.
 
I really hope we sign a player in a similar mould to Mahrez. Someone with tonnes of flair, creativity and some tricks. We don't need another Gray or Albrighton.

I'm too sure about Patrick Roberts but he seems to be less Mahrez and more Albrighton.

Grealish doesn't convince me either though I've not seen too much of him this season, he seemed unfocused and average in the PL last time round with the occasional good moments. Anything over 15-18mil is ridiculous in my opinion.

Don't be fooled. We're filling a gigantic space when Mahrez goes. He truly is a phenominal player. Not to mention the stats. We need someone who can regularly assist and score around 20-25 times in a season.

That just isn’t going to happen.

Someone like that will cost us more than we’ll get for Mahrez, and a player who can do that regularly will have far better offers than Leicester City.

Christ, even Mahrez only did that for 2 out of 4 seasons.

We’re going to need to add creativity in other areas of the pitch. In particular in the number 10 role, the other wing, and in central midfield.

Okay perhaps a little over zealous with that statement but we do need 15-20 if not more. Mahrez managed it in 15/16 and in 17/18. Let's face it, 14/15 was near relegation and 16/17 was a bad one for the whole team with everyone suffering stats-wise.

This season he chipped in 12 goals and 10 assists. That's what we need to find going forward IMO.

Has any player for any Premier League team ever actually done that? I doubt it. Maybe an 'or' would be more appropriate.

Even still, my comment still stands in that we’re going to need to spread Mahrez’s contribution amongst other players in the team. It hasn’t mattered in the past that Albrighton, Okazaki and our central midfielders didn’t chip in with many goals and assists. They’ll either need to, or be replaced.

Mahrez is irreplaceable man for man.
 
Shaquiri might be worth a look, apparently has a £13m release clause at Stoke. I'm also quite keen on the idea of bringing in Ben Arfa which would work at least as a short term replacement. I'd be happy if we bought Grealish, he's got potential - but £40m is well over priced for potential. He's had one good season in the 2nd division....
 
And the kids he’s had with Gerard Pique are adorable.
