I would hope he is coming in to compete with Nacho, who picked up very well at the end of the season, for the spot behind Vardy and would think we may even sign another, more creative, number 10.
But Maddison is a good signing, assuming it is done. Technical skill will translate it's whether he can be effective at Prem level but he is highly sort after

That’s the market. He’s been excellent this season and in such a ludicrous market (and only there) it’s a decent price tag. I’ve seen him play 3 or 4 times at Carrow Road this year and each time he was the stand out performer on the pitch. I thought at the time what a good buy he would be for us.
Think about how much Sessegnon would go for. He’s had one good season in The Championship but his potential is phenomenal. I guess that’s what clubs are buying. It’s mental but it’s not worth being perplexed by these days.

very young squad we are building. Kasper, Albrighton and Vardy the only probable "regulars" for next season with age and experience. Could be a wee bit callow.
Morgan, Fuchs, Simpson, Iborra, Slimani, Shinji and possibly even Silva look like fringe players.
Chilwell, Periera (sp) Maguire, Choudhury, Gray, Nacho, Maddison, Ndidi, Diabate,.
We are going to need Iborra or Silva massively next year for leadership.

Anyone know what's happening with Evans? Sounded like it was very close before, just trying to sort the agent fees. Now it's gone silent. Have we refused to pay the agent's fee and walked away?
Even though part of me likes that we (and others) are starting to say no to the ridiculous agent costs, Jonny Evans for £7m when we bid over 20m a year ago is still a decent deal.
