Everton and Southampton? It's usually us, Everton and Wham. Somethings not right with this rumour.

Can’t be true, another source said Everton had made an offer days ago. It’s almost as if most of this stuff is made up.
 
Apparently he favours a move to Leicester though as it’s closer to his family. Looks like we need to match Southampton’s bid.

Sounds like the sort of creative player we should be adding, plus young and English but it's always a risk if he can make the step up or not.
 
Sky Sports news report us and Saints have put in bids of £22m plus add ons. Player to make up mind which club, but Saints are preferred.
 
A lot of money for a Championship player but by all accounts he could be the next David Beckham. Out of interest, would that now be the highest fee paid for a Championship/div2 player? Talent attracts talent. No brainer to pick us over Southampton but surprised Everton didn't match the offer as well.
