I'd managed to forget that it was a fake world cup. Sorry. I really have blanked it from my mind as an irrelevance. God knows how I'm going to deal with 2026 with 48 qualifiers. Haiti v Burkina Faso could be a belter I suppose, in front of 8000 in Chicago.

Chicago isn't one of the host cities. You're going to wear out the part of my brain that deals with unnecessary pedantry.
 
More pendants - with only three in a group, we're not going to be treated to Haiti vs Burkina Faso.

Unless they manage to knock out under achieving England and Argentina in the groups and meet in the knockout stage

I almost said this, but decided it was in fact possible. One or other could rise through the FIFA rankings in the next eight years. CAF and CONCACAF also have almost double the qualifying slots, and there’s likely to be no Mexico or US in the way, so while it’s unlikely it’s nowhere near impossible that both could qualify.
