England players were all about half a line ahead of the music, again. They need to either learn the timing of the national anthem or not sing it. Preferably the latter.

The shit efforts to sing it makes me warm to them. It's a dreadful song. Shame we couldn't borrow Italy's given that they're not using it this summer anyway.

Panama are poor, but England's attitude has been great, they have kept pushing and moving, and they coped well with Panama's fouling.

The funny thing about that is that Fox Sports spent a bundle of money for the TV rights in the US assuming that they would qualify.
 
Wish we had actually gone at them in the second half though. Could have made top of the group only a draw away. Right now a draw would mean we finish top, but if we get one more yellow card than Belgium then it could go to drawing of lots.

The pundits keep banging on about this and it's a load of old bollocks for numerous reasons that I can't be arsed to go into.

**** finishing 2nd on purpose, we should be looking to give Belgium a good ****ing hiding and coming out of this group with huge confidence.

It's about making others afraid to play us, not entering the Knockout stages with rhetoric that mentally makes us afraid of others.


Top the group and play whichever 2nd placed team that couldn't top theirs.
