They couldn't handle the Danish change of formation after 45 minutes.
Very fortunate.

Getting a bit sick of media wanking over it being a great world cup.
I've not been watching the same tournament obviously.
None of the top sides have turned up so far. Spain in particular were an enormous pile of shite earlier. Tons of possession & did precisely **** all with any of it. That's 3 tournaments in a row now they've done the same. Tiki taka has been well & truly sussed, about time they admitted it & played more like Real than Barca (the team that actually WINS all those Champions Leagues rather than producing a hard luck story every year)
Lets be honest...Russia are ****ing shite. They've been shite for at least 5 years. Any half decent side should be able to find a way to rip them a new one no matter how rigidly they defend. I'm all for shocks & upsets bit I do actually want the world champions to be a team that can get me off my feet applauding their play. Old fashioned I guess.
Croatia almost did the same. They're streets ahead of Denmark in terms of ability & like Spain didn't turn up. They got lucky.
I want an exciting team to win the world cup. Not some functional toolshed outfit.

I think it's been very entertaining precisely because the big teams have shat the bed. Germany going out in the group stages was great entertainment. Today was shite, mind. I hate penalty shootouts.

Both keepers were outstanding in the Denmark Croatia shootouts, made it a joy to watch for me.
Uruguay knocking out CR7, and with plenty of panache, was great to watch.
The Spaniards finally getting their comeuppance for passing it around lots without much plan for actually scoring a goal until the opposition were fast asleep.
Germany finishing bottom of a group containing Mexico, Sweden and South Korea (after seeing some hope with a last minute goal)
And it's barely begun.

If you can’t pick half a dozen fantastic matches out of the games so far and at least the same number of superb goals and moments of drama then I have to agree you are watching another series.
By a mile the most entertaining and interesting World Cup I have ever seen’
Only one 0-0 so far is testament to that.
