Leicester City will host Spanish side Valencia at King Power Stadium this August, as part of the Foxes’ preparations for the 2018/19 season.

The visit of the six-time La Liga winners will take place on Wednesday 1 August (7.45pm) – a key stage of City’s pre-season schedule just 10 days before the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Having finished fourth in La Liga last term, Valencia will be preparing for a return to the UEFA Champions League next season following a three-year absence. Los Che have been revitalised under Spanish coach Marcelino in the last year and will be tipped to remain a force in Spain next season.

It will be the first time the two clubs have met since the summer of 2011, when a City side managed by Sven Göran Eriksson took on Los Che in a pre-season fixture in Carinthia, Austria.

While further pre-season fixtures will be announced in due course, the visit of Valencia will be City’s only fixture at King Power Stadium during pre-season, making it the only opportunity for the Blue Army to catch a preview of how Claude Puel’s side are shaping up before the new season begins.

Full ticketing and sale details will be confirmed on LCFC.com in due course

Leicester City’s pre-season schedule is taking shape with the confirmation of a friendly fixture away to Notts County on Saturday 21 July (3pm KO).

The Foxes are back in pre-season training on 2 July with the fixture against Kevin Nolan’s Notts County side a first opportunity for City fans to see their side in action as they prepare for the new 2018/19 Premier League season.

It’s City’s first visit to Meadow Lane since a second-tier fixture over 24 years ago, in March 1994, and Claude Puel’s side will certainly be put to the test against a team who only just missed out on promotion from League 2 via the play-offs.

Nolan’s side finished fifth in League 2 last term and will once again be looking to build on a promising campaign by mounting another promotion challenge.

The fixture is the second pre-season game confirmed for Claude Puel’s team, following the announcement of a friendly against Spanish giants Valencia at King Power Stadium on Wednesday 1 August (KO 7:45pm).

Full ticket details for the Notts County fixture will be announced on LCFC.com in due course.

Jade Kit?
Isn't she in Hollyoaks?

I really should do some fact checking before copying and pasting what the club say.

We have played at Meadow Lane several times since March 1994.
That bit did sound wrong, although I couldn’t actually name any of those times. I’ve never been except to buy a mug.

We played friendlies there in 1995, 1997 and 2002 (I think).
I know I've seen us play Notts in a friendly but it was at home. I feel like it was during Martin Allen's pre-season, and my memory is also telling me some contest winner or something came on as a sub, but I may have dreamt that.
