Realistically, if we had signed Shaqiri, how long would it have taken for (some) fans to start calling him lazy and have a go at him for not tracking back or being too greedy? You know, the same twats who blamed Mahrez for everything post our league win.

That must be a good sign. Brilliant Persian Prince on YouTube have we tried before. Maybe a crap one will work better?
 
I’m sick of the words “Mahrez replacement”.
In terms of assists and goal stats he’s irreplaceable for the money we spend. Certainly Patrick Roberts isn’t a Mahrez replacement

Same. Apparently he has "blistering pace" but he seems relatively slow - hopefully not another Knockaert-esque player as more often than not pace is important in the PL
 
Good in the air too. Would be a decent buy I'd have thought. Might make us a real threat from set pieces again with him, Maguire and Maddison.
 
If this is true we need to step up the interest before the "bigger clubs"pounce We were previously linked with him prior to him going Barca, would be awesome signing

Really? I think we have made a very good signing in Evans (better than Dragovic). I also think Maddison could be a revelation. As for Pereira, surely he will be an upgrade on Simpson?
