Liverpool signing that bird Allison for a reported £67m shows just how much we got robbed for Mahrez. Still infuriates me.

I just also realised he's wearing the No.26 shirt. "And the Manchester City goalscorer number 26, Riyad Mahrez!" is something I never want to hear home or away!

Unfortunately I don't see us getting rid of so much dead wood this summer, so I reckon unless it is a high offer that Musa stays. I just don't want a situation whereby he goes out on loan. I see this happening a lot in the next few weeks - Slimani, James, Mendy, Kapustka etc all out on loan. We need to just cut our losses and get rid of what the boss deems surplus to requirements. I guess the issue is the fee and wages.

We might just have a massive squad next season.......

There were multiple clubs in for Allison as there are several that need a top goalkeeper.

There was one club in for Mahrez, and that happened to be the team who got the record number of points and goals last season.

Liverpool need a decent goalkeeper in order to push for titles a lot more than Man City need another creative forward player.

plus Mahrez only had 2 years left on his contract, Alisson had longer then that
 
Yes yes I understand that one club was in for Mahrez and more in for Allison but that doesn't change the fact we got screwed. We got completely screwed. Our player was sold for way below his market value. It's all done with but still feel crap

More rumours of Kasper going to Chelsea. Let's hope not. We should be demanding £45m at least in my opinion given that top goalkeepers are indeed in need. Hopefully he stays though I reckon he'd take the chance to leave as most would. Given his time with us, his age, a fantastic world cup and Chelsea being the club they are he might just bite.
 
Sky reporting that that fee for Ward is around £10m with a view to him being competition for Schmeichel rather than a replacement. This is an odd one for me. Jakupovic seems pretty adequate as cover if Schmeichel is staying and as for Ward, who was great for Huddersfield, isn't he just taking a step from one bench to another?

I would suggest that this signing is a preparatory one for if/when an offer we can't refuse comes in from Chelsea for Kasper.
 
Yeah they can say this is competition for Schmeichel rather than a replacement but spending £12m on a backup keeper when we've got no European football seems like a strange move to me.

He's not gonna get many games you'd assume.

I really hope this doesn't mean we're willing to listen to offers for Kasper. For the stick he gets from some fans, I'm sure they'll realise their mistake when he's gone...
