We'd best belt ourselves in for lots of similar. That incident was a perfect example of what I said in the other thread.

Simpson would never have done that. But we're gambling on these young or previously inconsistent players. Amartey could also bomb down the right and create something that Simpson never would.

This season is one massive gamble.

Absolutely agree. Simpson should have started this game, he's much more accomplished in that position than Amartey.

It was the stupidest thing I’ve seen on a football pitch since Amartey came off the bench and got booked twice in ten minutes.
