I'm really pleased with our summer dealings.
Shifted out some high earning players who wouldn't be involved.
Brought in some quality experience in key positions with Evan and Pereira.
And brought in some good young prospects with potential who can hopefully already start to fit into the first team with Maddison and the two centre backs.
Ghezzal feels like a wild card but we needed something there.
Plus bringing through more of our own youngsters into the mix.
I also have faith that with Silva, Iborra, Mendy, Iheanacho etc we've got players who will do better after their first seasons.

Does anyone else remember how Simpson wasn’t first choice for a long time, was behind De Laet, but gave the manager a different option?
Beggars belief that people have been moaning about lack of cover for right back and now want to ship one out now we’ve got one in.
Unless my maths is bad that puts us back to “short” status.

I agree. Would much rather have Simpson as back up to Pereira than Amartey. There might be games where we need to be a bit stronger defensively rather than having a full back belting up the wings (ala RdL).
