Leicester City Football Club can confirm that striker Leonardo Ulloa has joined Mexican side Pachuca on a permanent contract.

- Striker Leonardo Ulloa joins Mexican team Pachuca on a permanent deal
- The 32-year-old scored 20 goals in 101 appearances for Leicester City
- Ulloa signed for City from Brighton in the summer of 2014
- The Argentine has played a key role in many important moments in Leicester City’s recent history

The 32-year-old Argentine leaves King Power Stadium after four full seasons as a Leicester City player, during which he played a key role in a number of important and memorable moments for the Football Club.

Ulloa joined from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2014 and finished his debut campaign as the Club’s top scorer with 13 goals. In total, he found the net 20 times in 101 appearances during his Leicester City career.

The striker had the honour of scoring Leicester City’s first Premier League goal for a decade in August 2014 when he found the net on debut against Everton at King Power Stadium, while he also scored a brace of goals in a famous 5-3 victory over Manchester United that will live long in the memories of all City supporters.

Ulloa’s stoppage-time winner against Norwich in the 2015/16 title-winning campaign will be forever remembered as the ‘Earthquake Goal’, with celebrations in King Power Stadium registering a 0.3 reading on the Richter scale. In that same season, Ulloa showed nerves of steel to convert a vital late penalty against West Ham United – a crucial result after the Foxes were reduced to 10 men.

Since his arrival, Leonardo’s contribution to the Football Club has been a significant one and he will remain a popular figure among players, staff and supporters alike. Leicester City would like to thank him for all he has given to the Football Club and wish him and his family well with the next stage in his career.

Thanks a million Leo. A true Leicester City legend.

Blokes got a big pair of swingers and an even bigger heart. Part of the greatest story ever told, thanks Leo!

There will be players who contributed more goals, assists, saves, tackles and headers in their Foxes career. But there won’t be anyone who scored two more crucial goals than Leo. That bloke has nerves of steel and the message to supporters is a mark of the man. 101 appearances and 20 goals doesn’t amount to the value he’s provided.

That goal against Norwich.

That penalty against West Ham.

Wow. Thinking about them still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I’ve found Leo’s departure more emotional than the others for reasons I really can’t explain.

The goals in 2016 are obvious...but how important he was at the beginning of 2014 can’t be forgotten. Top man.

Did his best work for us in that struggle to stay up of 2014-15. Will we ever see such exquisite bone structure again? And the where were you at the time of the Norwich earthquake will be a story told around firesides for as long as LCFC have a small place in Football's Valhalla

Fascinated that his new club was founded by Cornish tin miners back 100 years ago.

All the best Leo!

Sad to see him go but was obviously the right time.

Nice statement from him.

Will be remembered for giving us some truly amazing moments. Huge part of the greatest escape and the miracle season.

I thought the miracle was over when Vardy got sent off until Big Leo stepped up. For that he'll always be a hero.

I think the brace he got in the following game were almost as important. Vardy was suspended, the whole world (well it seemed like it) were thinking that without him Leicester would struggle but in came Leo, he didn't let anyone down and the title was on again.

Pure class.

Top guy who created some awesome memories saving us from relegation in the 14/15 Great Escape and for his 29 appearances during our title winning 15/16 season. He was very important in 15/16 in my humble opinion and ensured we saw out a lot of our matches with his hold up play and equally as important his defensive work.

The header vs Man Utd in our 5-3 win is one that particularly stands out as a belter.

"Oh, his name is Leonardo, Leicester's number 23, yes he cost a ****in' fortune, but he scores goals so that's alright with me!"

I guess we're never going to resort to pumping it up to a 6'2 + striker who can hold the ball up.

I think we'll aim to look for a new striker as a priority going forward.

Vardy, Nacho, Shinji

Then it depends on our formation because we've got a number of attacking players which means we might need only one main striker.
