Great strike and we've looked so much better since Puel gave that team talk after the Maddison/Neves incident. Looking more on the front foot now. Clearly the lack of pressing was a massive issue.

Great to get to the break at 2-0 - especially after some early scares.

Well. What a strange one.

A very very nervy start. Evans turning out one of the worst debuts I’ve seen for many a year. Still terrifying to watch at the back. We definitely should have been a goal down at least. We’ve never started games well under Puel.

Albrighton causing them massive problems. And as soon as we found space for Maddison we look a better side. He’s canny too, Madders. Gave Neves a right belting.

Mendy has been really good I think. Him and Ndidi could make a nice duo.

Young sides sometimes need a bit of luck to calm the nerves and give some confidence, I hope our tails get up now and we carry that on.

Gave the ball away every 5 minutes, created very little at all, got caught in possession time after time.....

Mandy has looked better today than Silva has at any time since he joined us.

Silva loves the 2 yard pass and getting caught in possession, he does it with some swagger which somehow hides the shitness. Plus he looks likes he's playing a day or so slower than everyone else.

Mandy looks a totally different one to who we sent away, oh Mandy....etc. etc.

I think the biggest concern with Evans for me is how docile he has been. Similar to my general problem with Silva, he just doesn't seem to be very alert. Needs to put more effort in as a few times he was rolled so easily. Early signs not great with him.
