It’s the same almost every week.

2-3 changes, often to the back four.

Start very slowly, eventually grow into the game and play well in spells but don’t create a great deal, fall asleep either side of a half.

Somewhere in there we concede at least 1 soft goal.

Big clubs now know we are a soft touch. I actually think it’s our lack of bollocks against the big 6 that puts Puel under the most pressure. And here we are again.
 
What bothers me is we have ambitions players. Some of them quite good...

All being forced to play shite football. They’ll be gone.
 
Game over now with that goal just before half time.

Real shame as we were looking much better for that last 20-25 mins of that half, until the goal of course.

Gonna have to be a monumental come back to get anything from this now without James Vardinho.
 
In control for half a ****ing hour virtually, looked good & produced precisely **** all in terms of threat. They get the ball for 2 minutes...shot on target, corner, corner, goal.

Enough to make you ****ing scream.

Oh and concede from set piece (13 last year).
 
What a shit goal to concede. Fair enough if they do something decent, but that was a lobbed up dolly into the box and nobody attacked it.

I'm as ****ed off as you are but how is that shite football? We've looked good apart from the final third. You can see what the plan is. It needs to be more effective yes but in no way can you call it shite football.

Playing with no threat up front whatsoever

Apart from that were playing great...
 
Perhaps we need to accept that their team is better than ours?

Exactly this. So many over reactions on here. Makes the score even more ****ing annoying.
 
Really frustrating to concede thay second goal. Would take something huge to come back into this. Pretty much game over, which is so frustrating when we'd looked for a lot of the first half.

If Vardy was playing today I feel like we'd be in the game. But we just don't have the right movement from a striker today.

Gray needs to make some better runs.

Ndidi and Mendy doing very well in the middle.

The defending is quantitatively, undeniably shite.

Rewatching both goals, they are awful. The first a collective failure where you could honestly point a finger at half the side, the second just shockingly soft marking.

That said we looked quite handy with the ball in spells. Missing Jamie massively.

It's always the same with the usual lot - win and they are the best thing since sliced bread but lose and they are all shite.

We've played well and bar a slow start and a really sloppy second goal, we've been a good match for a team that a likely to be winners or runners up this year.

For perspective, all the Sky pundits saying we are massively unlucky to be 2 behind.
 
Perreira isn’t very good at defending is he? Shocking that Simpson has been frozen out, if Amartey is supposed to be our “solid” option.

Some good play, but no real threat, the second goal was a bit of a killer for us I think. Expect a 4-1 defeat now.
 
We're not unlucky at all. We're playing good-looking football that barely carries an actual threat and defending badly. I can see and I support what we're trying to do, and it will take time, but we're being sloppy on basics.

Then again, "Leicester were much the better team there for 25-30 minutes" from a Lpool fan on another forum. I'm wondering if he's just being nice to me.
