Poor first half, improved second. It's nice to see we still carry that counter attacking threat and we've picked up more of a set piece threat with Maddison and Maguire around but one of my biggest concerns under Puel is that our goals are all coming from set pieces or counter attacks. When a team sits back on us we still just can't break them down just like under Ranieri. We have better possession these days but numerous times in a match you'll see us making some very sloppy passes or go full on docile as if the concentration levels aren't good enough.

Today could have been very different if Huddersfield had scored that 1-on-1 whilst the score was tied at 1-1. They didn't, and to rub it in we then scored a beauty of a free kick which in turn meant they had to push forward more which played into our hands.

Comfortable win. I actually relaxed watching that. After the equaliser I never thought there would be any result other than a home win. We are becoming something of an enigma. Very hard to bet on, or against.

Quite cunning to give them that 1 on 1 opportunity. Seemed to knock the stuffing out of them and give us a kick up the arse. Well played.

So our usual problems.

1) We start slow.
2) We often concede early
3) We seem to need a goal against us before we step up a gear.
4) We have good defenders but they appear to be badly organised.
5) We do not appear to have a first choice right back.
6) We do not appear to know how to use Vardy as well as in the past.

None of this would appear to be rocket science to sort out.

Sort it Puel! We should have beaten this pile of poo 6-0.

a beauty of a free kick

Firstly, good free kick, crap save. Hardly FKof the century. However it’s nice to have a player that can do it.
Thought we repeated the same errors multiple times today. Spent the entire game trying to go through the middle with little intricate passes, even though Huddersfield totally had that sussed.

2 superb breaks, Mr Nachos had a stormer of a game IMO and that finish was one that a lot of strikers would have thought about for too long and fluffed.
Vardy’s Finish was nice.
Huddersfield are shit and are going down on today’s showing.
Cracks well and truly papered. On to the next.

I thought Amartey was much better today and did well. There's just a lack of organisation and a lack of voices at the back sometimes.

Maddison was excellent and I thought Mendy was very tidy as well. Iheanacho and Vardy were also good to watch without being exceptional.

A seven out of ten performance for me. Not bad but a better team may well have made the most of our untidy passing.

Delighted with the win. Nacho looked great. Amartey too. And subs made an impact.

That said, same concerns apply: early goals, easily cut open and changes needed to be made at half time.

Had they converted their good chance at 1-1 we’d have been struggling.

The “revolution” survives.

Our defensive shape is terrible. The back four are not connected at all. All four of them played well individually today but we still looked vulnerable against an awful side. That's solely down to the shambolic organisation.

Starting to love Mendy. Simple, effective, and always there. His rebirth has been a wonderful surprise.

The three goalscorers are our three threats and must all play. Shoving Maddison wide and dropping Iheanacho into the 10 position was absolute madness. Puel just insists that players fit his system rather than making the system suit the players. It's incredibly frustrating.

Anyway, all three can and do score regularly and, with that defensive shape, we need them to. Three enjoyable and well taken goals from them today which brightened up a pretty drab afternoon.

Huddersfield competing with Cardiff for bottom place. It will be a close run thing.

I thought we were dreadful n that first half. Just awful

Defensively all over the place and, not content with not having a clue how to play to Vardy's strengths, the feckwit now seems keen on fartarsing about with Maddison. Left, right, in out, shake it all about. He's a number ten, you complete twat

Ghezzal complete turd. Evans looks a shadow f the player he was twelve months ago

Luckily for us Depoitre is possibly the worst player I have seen in the Premier League. Dear God, he was shit, and that one on one was embarrassing to watch

We made them look a half decent side in the first half. And they're not, they're absolute wank and a nailed on cert for relegation.

It was a game we couldn't possibly lose, as they are so completely hopeless, so the win was a given. But this is papering over the cracks good and proper, and no fickle bonehead snowflake so-called fans could ever tell me otherwise

Oh, and I thought the final execution on Vardy's goal was genuinely world class, a thing of complete and pure beauty. Worth fast forwarding through the rest of match of the day to get to

Some cracks papered over there.

My car was also broken into by smashing my back window in, which was nice .

Asked without judgement as I didn't see today's game or follow live as I've been out all day, but does your first point and the fact they all scored counteract the next part?

When I saw they were all starting I hoped it was Maddison behind a front 3 but maybe not. But they all scored, so it worked to some extent. No?

Honestly, it worked in that they all scored, but that had a lot to do with how shite Huddersfield were. The misuse of Maddison today was poor, so we didn’t get to see them really in the setup you were hoping for.

We started with Maddison on the left, Iheanacho in the number 10 position and Ghezzal on the right.

Feck knows what Ghezzal was up to but he drifted all over the place in the first half, mainly just getting himself in the way.

Maddison wasn't happy wide so played inside. Iheanacho wasn't happy deep so it was all a bit of a mess. None of the three goals had anything to do with the players original positioning. And none of the good things we did had anything to do with the bizarre shape that we started with.

In the second half, Gray came on and even he played centrally. We were crying out for someone to go wide but none of them wanted to.

I think I'm growing to hate 4-2-3-1 as it is a really annoying formation in so many ways. I swear the clown is going to play Vardy wide soon.

I got the impression that Maddison, Nacho and Ghezzal were maybe asked to Interchange, but they all seemed to roam around without coordinating with or watching each other.

Thankfully a lack of organisation in that department can actually work to confuse the opposition.

Organisation will hopefully improve all over the pitch as they get used to each other, but I worry that too many players are given too much freedom, particularly defenders.
