I know it’s almost like he’s actually just head coach rather than a traditional manager.

For the Puel outers, ignore him for a second, what player that isn’t featuring is a match winner?

We have 1 match winner and he’d sooner go and do a poo

There’s a lot of undeserved negativity here. The first half we looked very good, really should have had at least two and been playing ten men. But then arsenal turned it around and made us look shit, I really don’t think it was a case of our poor play making them look good - players like Ozil and Aubameyang are unstoppable on their best days. That aside, we had a change in our team shape that seemed to work, more productive play and chances that on another night would have gone in. We’ve seen that even in our very best season, you don’t need to get a result at the Emirates. Everyone should calm down, because if we can stick to what was good here and improve, we will beat a lot of teams in this division.

if we can improve

What?

We’re not improving. According to some we were unlucky to lose this season to Man Utd and Liverpool. And some will say we were unlucky in this game. That’s not improvement.

That is exactly where my head is at, yes the first 30 minutes was good and if we had kept that up for theenitre game then maybe people could say we were unlucky, however that 2nd half performance was as impotent and lacklustre as anything produced in the final days of Claudio and Shakey's time at the club, we were lucky it didn't end up 5 or 6.

The most concerning aspect in the 2nd half was we look as one dimensional and predictable now as we did 12 months ago albeit playing different styles. I genuinely believe this squad is capable of challenging for 7th and possibly top 6 if managed correctly and with a style that allows us to play quick tempo possession based football but with the ability to break and counter at pace when the opportunity presents, we need a manager who can deliver that and unlock the potential otherwise this brave new world will end up being dismantled as quickly as it started.

Miles Away and BN have got Puel sussed. Whilst I admire Skitzo for defending him, it’s becoming very clear that Puel is a decent mid table manager. He does not upset the apple cart of the big six, and doesn’t ever look like he has any ability to.

If the aim is 9/10th every year, he is fine. If we want to push upwards, it’s not going to be with him.

That said - second half - Arsenal were on fire. Very difficult to stop that.

I'm not fussed either way, i don't have any confidence in our owners to make a decent appointment even if they sack him.

We won't be needing that stadium expansion though, i can guarantee you that.

I agree.

Sousa’s appointment was a disaster.

Sven appointment was a disaster.

Pearson’s return was a stroke of genius and just what we needed to clear out Sven’s dead wood.

Ranieri’s appointment was genius, but I think more a case of luck than judgement.

Shakespeare’s appointment was a disaster.

Puel’s appointment was a disaster.

They’ve got it wrong more times than they’ve got it right.

I can't understand why he didn't do what the boy line acre did in that England game. Just have a shit on the pitch and get on with the game.
He came out wearing gloves which was unusual but maybe he thought they would come in handy once Mr Brown was in the departure lounge

It has been a whole year. One whole wasted year.

Patience? Give me a break.

I have spent most of my life exasperated b y people who believe a decade is a long time. But many football fans think a year is a long time - or a City Fan puts it "a whole year."

Since I watched the match in the pub so I will defer to anybody who saw it live. Here are some thoughts
If Vardy was ill that explains why he had little impact.
Maddison is a superb player for the first 60 minutes. Why does he run out of steam?
Albrighton has many qualities but he is not a replacement for Kalechi.
I would rather have Gray than Ricardo and look forward to his return.
It is difficult to judge Ghezzal from the TV and when he was on for such a short time. However, he does not seem to be ready for the Premier League. It would be worth loaning him to a Championship club at Christmas.

All that matters is now. Puel is a disaster for the club and will empty the ground.

Albrighton is no replacement for Kalechi? Kalechi is killing us (controversial I know) we are playing with 10 men when he is on the pitch, Ricardo played well and created some good chances and was a problem for the full backs as was Chillwell.
I agree with Ghezzal, he looked massively out of his depth and needs time to adjust to the English game
I thought Amartey was woeful and is clearly not good enough he was caught ball watching many times.
Puel needs to play 3-5-2 with a back 3 of Chillwell Maguire and Evans, Mendy and Ndidi will provide ample cover, Maddison should play attacking midfield behind Shinji and Vardy, Ricardo and Albrighton on the left and right.
We need another quality Striker to partner Vardy IMO and it is just my opinion but Kalechi is just not good enough it is upstairs he is lacking, he is constantly out of position and fails to see players in better positions in and around the box. I get the feeling Puel has been told to accommodate him at all costs!
Gray will be a useful addition when returns from full fitness I think it is glaringly obvious that we should stick with 3-5-2, if he inserts Morgan straight back in then that will be the final straw for me. I get the feeling we are 3 - 4 players from breaking into the top 6, we have no strength in depth Puel had no one to introduce to change the game last night, we have recruited badly over the past 3 years.

Is he?
Will he?

How many Puel outers on here, actually go to the games?

Last season some said Chilwell shouldn't be anywhere near a starting place.
Some said Mendys had it here.
Amartey was one of our better players last night.

As long as we aren't in danger of relegation, I see no reason not to let Claude continue with the project.

We either should have kept Slimani or signed another target man, Shinji doesn’t offer enough coming off the bench
