Will stay in our memories forever despite ending 0-0

Very good performance on the whole, perhaps fizzled out a bit towards the end but it's disappointing not to win it - I felt we deserved to. We played some nice stuff but perhaps lacked a cutting edge in the final third. It was lovely to see a number of ex managers, ex players and such all at the gam in the stands today as well.

I wasn't able to watch but I have seen a 5 minute clip from the start of the game. It looked incredible. You were all a credit.

Think this may have been a game too far for the players govenrecent events they just couldn’t find their composure

Emotional day

Seeing the two lads walk round at the end was truly heartbreaking.
And that video - Jesus, that just got you, didn't it. Wow

And it was truly wonderful to see Don Claudio again. How i'd love to have him back

As for the football, we were by far the better side and just lacked a little oomph. Quite shocked at how far Burnley have fallen in such a short space of time - they are a nothing team now - just completely meh. We really should have won.
Not helped by two of the most ridiculous substitutions were likely to see all season, but that's what we have, I'm afraid

Nacho man playing right midfield :017:

after our starting attacking midfield/winger options we have nothing in reserve, this alone is reason enough for me to recall Barnes and put him on the bench at least.

The more I see of Iheanacho the more I'm starting to think we should cut our losses, it just doesn't seem to work

Albrighton was going to come off whatever as he hadn't trained for 2 weeks and was carrying an injury.

We didn't need any in reserve. Albrighton was the best player on the pitch, until he was stupidly taken off, and Gray possibly the most threatening
as Volpone has pointed out Albrighton isn't fully fit and lets not make our he was creating loads of chances whilst he was on either, he was working hard and put in a couple of half decent crosses nothing more.

Gray again isn't long back from injury so maybe he doesn't have 90 mins in him yet but all we had on the bench was Iborra, Okazaki and Nacho with only Silva, not involved that could have been added to the mix

A mention for Ghezzal, who I though was excellent in the 1st half.

Picked up good positions and generally looked dangerous and interested .

An improvement for sure
