If anyone else watched the tunnel cam after the match, Nigel, Claudio and Shakey all walk off down the tunnel, but Cambiasso goes straight into the changing room.

Wonder if there's a role coming for him here?

Unlikely, except perhaps in his own head.

undoubtedly a great player but from what I hear he was not universally popular with a lot of the other players during his time here. Bit of a Prima Donna by all accounts
