Puel out

I think that’s a language issue again, honestly. Admittedly, if he intends to communicate with English-speaking media he really should learn to speak English to a better standard or hire a translator, but I really don’t feel like he was saying he doesn’t give a shit. I think he was just doing the Puelese version of “I’ll focus on the team and the players until I’m told otherwise”.
I don't understand this fixation on his utterances at press conferences. I don't want a cheeky chappy to entertain me with their bantah - I couldn't care less if he didn't turn up to these things, or sent his pet cat instead.

He may as well send his pet cat for all the sense he makes.

His last interview was embarrassing, he made himself look foolish.

His response to the media, like it or not, creates a narrative that will be used to help or harm him.

He just looks like he doesn’t give a shit. His posture, mannerisms, tone and body language make him hard to warm to. He is the John Major of football management.

This persona he has set will play a part in his demise.

So basically, it's because he speaks with a French accent.

If only he had a fancy Italian one instead.

Certainly no one ever mocks his accent when talking about his interviews or press conferences.
I used to mock Ranieri’s accent, even in the title winning season.

His accent has nothing to do with it.

Is there a possibility that we are hanging onto him because of the death of Vichai. Rumours circulating that nothing can be decided or actioned until King Power have sorted out the running / ownership of the company.

What a pity our unambitious manager wants to replicate this instead of trying to improve upon it.

The bigger picture is that the major challenge to any promoted club of LCFC's size and history is always how to maintain top flight status above the level of perennial relegation fodder - the need to refresh and renew the team with finite resources. Virtually no club in the last 20 years (West Ham's erratic course probably the nearest currently) has managed to stay up for more than 7-8 years, even Cloughie and Forest only managed 15 years in much easier times.

In contrast to his predecessors, especially those like MON, Wallace and Bloomfield from the rose-tinted years, Puel has a plan (presumably agreed with the owners) which may be cautious and erratic, but in parts (the emergence of young talent and better integration of foreign imports) showing some results.

What the owners will decide at the end of the season I guess, is if these results are enough to let him develop it further, bearing in mind that the tried and test alternative of the sack at best puts the club back months or years, and at worst sees us jumping out of the Premier League frying pan into the EFL fire.

Biggest load of shite ever.

People used to love Ranieri's broken English.

Now the majority seem to use broken English as a reason to berate or mock Puel.

Lovely, but not what we're talking about is it.

Lovely, but not what we're talking about is it.

What did he say it that interview that was so embarrassing then?

For me, it seemed pretty much bang on and we should be getting behind the project rather than wanting to start again, again.

Perhaps he should start making reference to a random bell get the fans back on side?

When you're top of the league, it is easy to love everything.

To shrug off the culture at the ground and the dissatisfaction of the fans is a mistake from him. It has set up a contentious relationship between the support and the manager and as a leader and face of the football club that’s not really on, is it?

It’s nothing to do with his accent. BM is suggesting it may be a language issue, largely because the other alternative (that he doesn’t give a **** about the paying fans frustration) is such a ludicrous one.

I think he knew exactly what he was saying.

So it's not a fact then, just you choosing to think negatively about it.
