    Maresca out

We have no say as to whether the manager, the board or any other changes are made at LCFC but, I would suggest that asking for a change of manager is the wrong priority. I am exceedingly disappointed that no member(s) of the financial side of the business has/have paid the price for our...

    Leicester face questions about FFP

In some ways, we might be better off NOT getting promotion. If we're going to be required to sell players and sign none, next season will be like Sheffield United's current effort. At least in the Championship, we'll win a few games playing the youngsters...

Post Match Sunderland 0 Leicester 1

We'd just lost three in a row: I think the QPR defeat particularly knocked confidence. Did you really expect scintillating football? The win was vital, not just for the three points but to get some of that confidence back. I am sure that we can look for improved performances from now on...

Speculation The hysterically annoying, and totally unfounded, but traditional, January 2024 rumours thread.

Depending on our financial position, I'd agree. Offering Praet a contract would be cheaper than signing another midfielder - an area where we are definitely light...

Speculation The hysterically annoying, and totally unfounded, but traditional, January 2024 rumours thread.

I am not surprised that overpaid players have declined to move. I am surprised that after what must have been a huge positive in terms of sales versus purchases in the summer, we couldn't afford a £2m new player. I am disgusted that, again, the manager has not been kept up to date with the...

Selling KDH now would be daft, unless we have 2-3 midfielders lined up to come in. I know we have Sensi, 'almost over the line', but his injury record makes him a risk; we've lost Casadei - and we wanted to strengthen before that happened.

If this were to come about, we would have two Manchester City loanees vying for one spot... That seems illogical.

Post Match Leicester 0 Leeds 1

For this season, the result is merely a wake up call; reminding us that we have to do more than just turn up. In terms of the longer time future, it is more worrying: IF we gain promotion, a home game against a team like Leeds will be the one that we are expected to win. The system we play...

Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2023 rumours thread - it's started already!

The problem that I have with the story that we had two keepers on the bench because we didn't want players who will be leaving in the match day squad, is that it would mean that we want to keep Stolarczyk, Ward, Iversen and Hermansen!

Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2023 rumours thread - it's started already!

If this is true, and it comes from a good source, then we should move on. I don't care how good a player he may be, we don't need someone who doesn't want to be here.
  18. The Old Fox

    How's the squad shaping up?

I get the feeling that some of these 'daft' positional players are acting as place holders. Surely Maresca cannot see Ndidi as an attacking midfielder but, we don't have one, yet. Hopefully, this will be addressed before the transfer window closes. I do agree that the lack of minutes for...

    Match Thread Leicester vs Liverpool

It is very difficult to assess that game: were it a competitive match, where the object would be to beat Liverpool, then the set up was tactically inept. Of course, we are not so concerned with the result and Maresco will have wanted to play in the style that he will want in Championship...

Ricardo seems to be playing left-back come central midfield whilst Castagne is right-back. Salah has the freedom of the pitch, which has contributed to all the goals Liverpool have scored.

I agree that the "Big 6" won't be looking, but I think there's a cracking player, in Nacho, and any other Premier League team would do well to take a look.

Yes, Maresca is a risk but, a risk means that there's the chance of a big pay off. Personally, I'd rather that than a plodder. I'm nailing my colours to the positive mast!

I am unable to comment upon the accuracy, or otherwise, of Rodgers' input into the signings of Bertrand and Vestergaard (cos I'm an ignorant know nothing). I do, however, feel that a manager should have some input into the purchase of players. If 100% accurate, the buying of these two...

In which dimension is this your/our club??? The last time I checked, we were living at the fag end of Capitalism and Leicester City belongs to the Srivaddhanaprabha family (or possibly King Power). This idea that Leicester City, or any other club, belongs to the fans is a shallow marketing ploy.

    Message from the Chairman

    Dean Smith - LCFC Manager

Smith didn't stand a chance: he had no time to get to know the players. If we hadn't changed manager at Christmas, or the international break, at the very latest, we would have been better sticking with Rodgers and making a decision in the summer.

I am delighted to find so many 'fellow travellers' on this board: however, I'm afraid that we're living through the dog days of capitalism.
