Watched with my Dad today too. He was at the 61 and 69 finals. We never thought we would see Leicester win the cup. A very special and emotional day! As a lad always dreamed of us winning the cup. The dream has become a reality! Happy days!!!!

Well the lack of posts on here this season certainly sums up the feeling of our club at the moment. Today we sunk to a new low of conceding over 500 runs in one day. After an encouraging start (performance wise if not results) we have just seem to have given up. No win in the championship again...

Meaningless on the pitch but not off...LCCC need all the revenue they can muster to maintain status as a county cricket club. Nixon's role (which i'm sure he'll do very well) is to promote the club and raise funds for future seasons of cricket at Grace Road. Important in my book

Nixon has become an ambassador for LCCC as announced on Radio Leicester. Think this is a great move by the club. Also mentioned that close to signing Ramanresh Sarwan as overseas player (West Indian batsmen)

It was mentioned on Radio leicester that we may be signing him for the T20s. Also a page on teletext about it. Whitticase is fairly confident he will come. Has it down as a 70-30 chance. (How he came up with that i don't know!)

I'm not sure if 5 points is no problem Glyn. Means we have to bowl them out (3pts) and score 250+ in first innings (2pts), or secure a draw with a couple of bonus points or win the match. Seeing as though we've been so inconsistent, especially in our batting first innings, it could be a struggle.

Found out that my new address is not in a cable area for virgin media meaning i wouldn't be able to get sky sports. I can get virgin broadband and phone but would still have to pay bt for line rental. The previous owners had sky tv so there must be cables there for sky! So i could go with sky...
