Based on his well-known reputation for going behind his recruitment team's back and signing players? Sounds like just more conjecture. It's never the manager's decision and that's final with no input from the wider team, owners etc.

    Coronavirus

My 4 year old had really bad cold symptoms with it just before half term and was wiped out for a few days. My 10 year old was absolutely fine. We only knew she was positive because we tested every day after youngest got it. I then got it and couldn't get out of bed for three days or so, now feel...

Also, the fact that Oliver is one of the most hopelessly overrated refs in the league. He got so much wrong for both sides, and it's not the first time he's been woeful.

    Brexit

And why is there suddenly extra demand? Nobody has said the entirety of the problem is Brexit, but it all feeds into the same pot of shit. If we were dealing with Brexit, there would be less shit to swim through in the pot.

I'm only mentioning them because they seem to be one of the reasons given for getting people back in the office. Apparently without all the workers, Costa will go bust.

    Coronavirus

I work for myself from home, so it doesn't really affect me anymore, but the other thing about things like coffee shops etc is the disparity I see between city centres and towns. In Leicester centre, I don't think there is one independent small coffee shop or eatery catering to lunches etc. They...

    Coronavirus

There are some who rely on it for social interaction and their mental health, so a hybrid option would benefit everyone. Companies could get smaller offices with less overhead and less environmental impact as well. Like Fitz said, the only reason I can see people being forced back in is to...

    Coronavirus

People keep saying "get back to normal", but that was an economical system that plunged many into poverty, was driving business away from the high street and slashing funding to public services. That's the normal people are desperate to return to. Why not actually look at heading to something...

Agree. They are playing like a team of players who haven't played together before, which is to be expected, but are doing fine overall.

Brighton don't look like they can be arsed and we're not really out of second gear. Not sure Lookman did much up to his goal but was alert enough when it mattered.

In the latest installment of the farce that is our country's track and trace system, was asked to show vaccine status at the gate (no problem with this) but then when the poor kid saw me getting my phone out he waved me through with a look of resignation. Coronavirus

You mean like the UK? It's a pointless conversation now to be honest. Anybody still arguing that they have no use, or making the strawman argument that they shouldn't be mandatory because they aren't a silver bullet stopping it on their own, has no intention of listening to scientists or facts.

    Coronavirus

Yep because this government have definitely done what's scientifically best at all steps along the way. They've definitely not acted according to their own self interest or to appease the vocal public. They still are mandatory in many countries. Maybe they have a scientifically different strain...

He had a direct hand in three of the four goals tonight. Plus numerous other chances created and a great shot. Not sure what else you're expecting? Plus, the ref seemed to think he was fouled every time he went down, so not sure why he should be staying on his feet there.

If Castagne plays, I don't think we concede the second and third goals. Thomas isn't ready yet and Betrand too hit and miss. They'll do for now, and hopefully Thomas will continue to improve.

I think some of it is about being within reasonable bounds. If I remember correctly, our stadium sponsorship was at roughly market value, rather than massively inflated, like the Etihad was. I may be wrong on that, though.

No idea about Reagan, he was was before my time. Both Johnson and Trump were elected on waves of anti-establishment sentiment, in my opinion, largely because they both treat the truth like it's a nicety, and aren't afraid to change their stance on things to progress. Johnson has flipped on...

But if everybody who didn't vote because they thought they wouldn't win actually voted for them, they'd have a better chance and it would reduce votes for the others. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
