We might have scored a goal from the backs to the back of the net in 8 seconds - but we've gone from ABBA songs to soup puns in less than 5 pages of posts - Oh Jenks - what have you started now..?
Yes, Wilf raised his arm to indicate to Mavididi that he wanted the cross - and then ran in. An excellent cross and powerful downward header - looked like it went through the goalie's legs
A Tifo for Vardy is all very well but we need a statue of Jamie outside the stadium. It should be cast in aluminium made from recycled Red Bull cans. The inscription for the plinth:
“JAMIE VARDY – He gave us wings”
The commentator said something like "Jamie Vardy still running like a teenager" and if I'd dived and slid along on the grass like JV when I was 37 - I would have broken several ribs! He's just a brilliant footballer and entertainer.
Doing well - but it ain't done - and it ain't dusted - yet. Got to keep up the energy in 2nd half and hope S'hampton show the same lack of interest in attacking.
I didn't know either - here's the definition
/tee fo. Originally the Italian word for the phenomenon of supporting a sports team. Tifo is mostly used as a name for any choreography displayed by fans in the stands of an arena or stadium in connection with a sporting event, mostly as part of an...
I would say it was unbelievable - but having seen exactly the same pattern develop over the last few matches - it was inevitable - what a ****ing shambles
And a special word for our manager - we all know what it is.
We're comfortable, too comfortable, in possession until we get to their penalty area - after that - utterly toothless. And as for our corners and free kicks -they pose zero threat - absolutely shocking for a table topping team.
FFS - take Daka and Faes off - and the rest show some intent and...
Several posters have said it was shit, complacent, disaster, rubbish, worst performance, etc., etc.,
They are 100% correct - we never looked like - or seemingly even had the intent of - scoring until added time. What a load of crap.
An occassional shot - never mind on target - might give the impression City give a shit about winning this game. It's not good enough against a poor side who, so far, seem to be very comfortable in defending.
Three Chilwell 'shots' had all the accuracy of a Robert Huth free kick.
And if anyone has access to sports statistics - did England even have a single attempt, especially one on target, during the second half?
The club structure might not be modern ( e.g. not owned by the princes of Arabia) but gazillions of £ were spent on a new, state-of-the-art, training centre/hotel/golf course so BR and Enzo could sulk in comfort.
Chelsea only two places above Bournemouth - who we beat - so there was a half chance anyway. We got back in to it for a while and put up a bit of a fight and weren't totally humiliated - but clearly, after the red card, there was no chance.
Poor and too slow in defending - two goals were easy pickings for Chelsea - who could have had more if Sterling hadn't missed a pen and a golden chance. We are far too hesitant going forward - and then fluff it before we even get a shot on target. Still - what did we expect? Sadly, No Vardy -...
Unlucky with KDH's shot against the post - but other than that it's been poor even by championship standards.
JJ and Faes have been a liability, Mavadidi and Yunus not much better. Changes needed
True - gave a free kick every time a Sunderland player fell over - then decided not to give one, or possibly two, penalties against us. Mind you, he performed better than half our players who, despite a conspicous lack of effort for 75 minutes, somehow managed to contrive a rather depressing win.
Poor - loads of ineffective passing it around with zero end product.
Our corners and set pieces pose no threat to them whatsoever.
Really got to put in more energy in second half.
The finishing from both sides was woeful throughout the match but Fatawu's strike was superb.
There were a couple of City players not on their game tonight, but HC, JV and CC made up for them.
Substitutes made the difference.
Great effort and we got the right result with less than half a team -...
