    So the season was greatly anticipated by Leicestershire. Some genuine progress seemed to have been made according to noises from those within the club.

    A rare season of optimism and genuine promotion ambition...........this lasted right up until the evening before the 1st game of the season when the county were rocked with a 16 point deduction before a ball had been bowled.

    Never mind, onto the game against Notts. 3 day defeat and all out for 81 in the 2nd innings

    We're still 37 points in front of Durham, although they do have a game in hand
