Well the draw for the first round sounds like it was a thoroughly professional affair......

    The BBC summary:

Well, that was an absolute farce of a draw. The draw for the first round of the League Cup has taken place in Bangkok, Thailand with a live stream on the sponsors' Facebook page.

That was the plan, but the feed had no sound, stalled on other people's computers and an error with the graphics caused confusion.

Charlton Athletic appeared twice on the graphic, firstly playing Exeter away and then Cheltenham at home. The correct match is Exeter v Charlton.

There was another problem with the graphic as it said AFC Wimbledon were playing Swindon, a draw that is not possible because both sides are unseeded. AFC Wimbledon are actually at home to Brentford with Norwich City at home to Swindon.

Top advertising. I had no idea the draw was being made and if I had I probably wouldn't have paid any notice. This farce has been Rolfed at over social media with the sponsors name all over.

    Good effort

I think there must be a 25 year delay here. Did you post this in a letter to Tim Berners-Lee back then, and then it somehow got lost in the post before appearing in this thread after all these years?

I have the thought quite often. Occasionally I just find myself writing it down. I don't blame Mr Berners-Lee at all; I wasn't even aware of him until you mentioned his name and had to google to discover his claim to fame.
